    If Romal’s contract is up, it makes sense to move somebody else in..
    Is that other young American striker still with us on trial, loan, whatever.. ? :rolleyes:

    That has generally been true, but not so much this season. There had been speculation about Benson, as well as Iseka / Oulare, and I'd be surprised if there wasn't any interest in Benson.

    It's our best chance of getting em cheap.. when media gets hold it normally turns into a auction. Which for me it's always the selling club who leak it to press for that very reason.

    P.S.. plus as well, it stops the club getting a slagging if they can't get deals over the line, if nobody knows..

    I suspect Palmer will be willing to sign a new contract. I don't think he's played enough games for a 'big' club to commit and come in for him. Has potential though so should be offered extension nowish...

    Ever since discovering the beauty of cheap Serbian and Norwegian midfielders and defenders on Football Manager a few years ago (shout out Birk Risa and Marius Lundemo) i've been a bit of an armchair fan of Norwegian football.

    It's... Agricultural, for the most part. I tend to catch highlights of Lillehammer, Molde, Rosenborg and Viking (who had a certain Mr Kieffer Moore playing for them a few years back).

    I've seen a bit of Joe Bell. Not that he stands out as the best player in the league but he's got an English sounding name so he sticks out. But from the little i've seen of him the Ben Pearson comparisons are quite accurate. Not quite as feisty but a similar style. Think Kenny Dougall but with a bit more pace. The Norwegian league is a good league but it's not Championship level. I think he'd struggle with the physicality and pace to start with but I reckon he'd be a good addition and one to develop.




    Bell scored the last goal in these highlights. A cracking free kick.

    But, surprisingly, not the best free kick of the game as another beauty was scored by someone else

    Apparently we have offered £1million plus add ons and it has been knocked back.It seems like the selling club Vikings do not want to sell.

    I got into Eliteserien last spring during lockdown - it was shown on Eurosport and was about the only live footy in Europe. When he were linked to Carsten Junker last year I was very excited - but sadly he went to Japan. Zinckernagel was brilliant to watch last year - but he's currently on loan at Forest (he was probably the league's best player last season).

    From what I've seen of Bell I think he's the type of player that would compliment Benson very well - providing he's good enough (if that makes sense).
