    WTF!!!?
Just give it me in a glass!

Similar....food served on bits of wood and slate. Chips and peas served in little wire baskets. Thankfully dying out especially the unhygienic wooden platter things.

Ok, just to put this in some sort of context, I was with churtonred when the offending drinks were served. They were adorable! They came in little jam jars with lids on and straws, labelled up 'Gin &Tonic', with lime ice and juniper berries inside...And they were delicious. Personally I think they were made like this so the drinks can be bought as 'take-aways', as due to covid restrictions, a lot of pubs in Ireland are still only serving outdoors and take -aways. As for the foods on slates and chips in little wire baskets etc, yeah, Im with him on that one, but the g&t's were the biz! :)

Yeah, I'm not keen on food and drink being served in "quirky" ways either.

Glasses, cups, bowls and plates. They're classics for a reason.

Edit: fish and chips in paper is acceptable.

I remember the one and only time I was served a meal on a piece of slate. Oh the irony :)

All the best Moonshine comes in jam and pickle jars, wouldn't drink it out of anything else.

Jam jars were a thing before covid. Agree on stuff served on wood/slate though I do like the wire baskets for chips. For me though, just stick it all on a round plate!

Don't agree on the jam jars but do on the slate and baskets. I'm fine with things designed to contain food being used but not with stuff that isn't
