We've thrown away four points in just a week from winning positions, on top of going out of the cup to a lower league side just before that. Much to work on in the international break. Benson we have to hope he gets up to speed fast as he looked a passenger again today. Andersen will hopefully not be far off being back.
Stay at home then mate......we have been very unlucky on striker front if you have not noticed?......hope you come back when things get better btw
So you are basically saying if people did not agree with you then their eyes are painted on, so you saying that your opinion is right & people who differ with you are wrong, best get me an half inch harris best bristle brush then & a tin of paint ,because whilst I thought we were fortunate to get a point I do not think it was as bad as you are making out, but hey ho you are right & my eyes are painted on, you cannot gloss over that !!!
That may well be the case but after seeing Birmingham play I thought we did well to keep them from scoring.Val did have the luxury of 5 subs, these players have had to play the full 90 minutes. I'm certainly not feeling the doom and gloom some posters are.
We were lucky to get a point, poor performance second half,we are missing Andersen and Morris and hopefully the lads from Belgium will make a big difference and of course 1 or 2 new signings before Tuesday
Give it a bit more time, Jesus. He has few to pick from at the moment. Mid table with a massively weakened team.
This lucky to get a point business. Happens all the time to every club. If so QPR were lucky to get a point off us. Should have been dead and buried first 45 mins. That’s how the cookie crumbles. Win some, lose some. Thought we were deserving of a point today. Against a form side in the league. Chong did bugger all. They didn’t get a sniff up until the equaliser. We had a couple of more chances to increase the lead.
Some silly comments above. Last season has given some people false and high aspirations. We were not abysmal today. There was another team out there today. A very good team that stopped us playing in the 2nd half. That’s the best Birmingham side I’ve seen for years.
but surely it is an excuse. People on this thread comparing him to Val and his success overlooking the fact he was able to make 5 subs and able to make wholesale changes with quality for quality. Schopp doesn’t have this luxury. as much as today wasn’t great it’s a manager learning the league and his players without (I would guess) 4 starters. We stood up fairly well to a physical test and a poor ref. For now we need to keep ticking over and picking up points and then as the seasons wears on and we get our full squad out and the manager learns the league/players a bit better then we should improve. also on the passing it around at the back. The same people whining about it would have been whining about pointless punts like often happened under Val. In fact at the Swansea game I heard groans from fans when we did it. remember who we are and where we are at. And have some patience!
I enjoyed it. Good hard game against tough and physical opponents. We scored a great goal, then one balls-up cost us the equaliser. Other that we defended well, with Helik dealing with the long throws almost on his own. Collins kept us in it as we tired. Good point. Ps. Ref was incompetent.
We should be thankful that Birmingham missed so many chances. Perhaps we deserved a point because their finishing was lacking. With a second half so uncomfortable for all sensible reasonable BFC supporters, the only comfort on show was the final result.
You'd have got a right glare off big Val for saying remember who we are !!! He dared us to dream again, whereas I can't help feeling were now turning a bit soft and back to little old Barnsley.
I don't think we're getting soft. I agree Val was a winner but he's gone to pastures new and we can't get a clone. We've had passionate, strangely enough I'm quite liking having Mr calm in contrast, let's see where we get with him he's barely been here 2 minutes!
We've got some brilliant players who probably won't be here for long so I'd love us to be positive and go for it off the back of last season. I thought we settled for the draw today whereas Val would have demanded the win.
Wasn't a great game but we weren't bullied or outfought by a strong physical side. Badly missing Morris.
