You realise that you linked to articles from a small scale 2014 trial right and that it's not what they've installed en masse 7 years later

My point was it can be applied to a section of a stand and doesn't have to be all or nothing as suggested previously.
It's a shame that's from 2020 not 2021 They haven't installed rail seats, they've installed a standalone bar in front of existing seats. It's a different thing. One is the industry standard, one isn't.
Of course it can, I thought that was obvious from every club who have installed rail seats already. None in England have converted an entire stand have they? Bristol was just the worst example of the lot as they're the only ones who haven't installed rail seats which have semi approval
football operates these things called seasons. The teams play football over the 20/21 season. Happy to help. As I understand it the rails they have installed in addition to the rail seating are intended as a safety feature only.
Neither are legal to be used as standing areas in this country at the moment however one has undergone full testing and is an official way of doing it whilst maintaining a required space for supporters to stand and sit in. The other is simply bolting a barrier across the front of seats in the area you'd usually walk along rows. It remains to be seen whether Bristol would gain the necessary approval for their approach but at the moment it's no more a safe standing area than bolting a Zimmer frame in front of each seat to lean on.
To be fair Bristol haven't don't it to any blocks of their stands in any way that can be replicated at oakwell. It's simply the corner of the ground isn't it? The one area that wouldn't block anyone's view
Suppose we did do standing and it does go in a corner - we only really have one option (between west and ponty) but whats under the slope? I always thought permanent studio for live matches would be best there. It's not happening.
Isn't it just the ground? I can't imagine it being anything different to when they converted the terrace of the west lower and I'm sure that was concrete and mud that they removed and replaced with a new concrete stand. I've always thought that corner would be best for a new stand that mirrors the corner one we have at he opposite side but with a large scoreboard on the front of it and a supporters bar in the back of it. I'd then build a similar stand in the corner between north and east again with a scoreboard on the front but this time with a kids club in the back of it with access directly to and from the family stand.
Possibly. I don't remember. Nice idea with the box mirroring the Welcome Window Dimensions stand (Wakefield Audi?)
Unless it was the end block nearest the corner. I am not a fan of the idea and wouldn't use it myself but if a section of the fans want it then it would work, no expense, just let people at that block stand up.
But anyone on the front few rows would be blocking the view of the corner of the pitch, and possibly more of those a few rows back further down the stand.
