    They think it will be a loan :( We seem excellent at loaning out fringe players, but not so good at selling them.

    Doesn’t surprise me. They have Conor Wilkinson playing for them up front and last game I saw he was still just as bad as when we had him at Oakwell.

    Someone has to want to buy them, herein lies the problem if a player is signed for a fee, is paid significantly more but sadly fails to make the grade.

    His contract is up at the end of the season. I can't imagine we'll be exercising our one-year option on him unless he bags twenty goals at Walsall.

    if his deal is up at end of season, let him go for nowt now or a tiny fee just to get him off wage bill for good. He probably is a nice bloke and can't fault his effort etc. but he isn't good enough and it's not worked out for him here.

    Unless a player hands in a transfer request, the club is obliged to pay off the whole remaining contract, unless the two parties reach a settlement.

    I get that. As a forward. But we've been playing him as a wing back ( performed ok at Bolton, probably needs bulking out a bit). He may be more suited to that position.
