Like any manager and fan i would like to have seen a bit more in the squad. But the window is closed so where do we see ourselves now?

Personally i am fairly happy with the squad. A bit more experience in midfield and a left back would have been great.

The defence though looks solid and having played together so much its now settled and seems to be able to adapt to 3 or 4. I think Anderson will be massive when back and perhaps Sibbick to the bench or RB cover in a four. Both Williams back fit. We have stability and options so all good.

Midfield is the key for me. Do we have the experience or physical strength over 100mins a game and Sat / Tues games. We need to create more chances and control the game more. We have the talent in Benson, Styles and Palmer. However its a bit raw. We have more talent now and pace with Gomes. This should be ok if they can last the distance and be more creative. We have Halme as cover so a lot depends on this central midfield.

If we now have the 2 strikers available its like a whole new line up. While a lot hangs on the ability for the two Belgians to contribute to games with assists and goals we don't know yet. We need to be patient and let them adapt. Cauley needs help so hopefully we are better here. With Morris and Cole to get fully fit then competition and options also with Thompson knocking on the door.

our line up should be stronger and so will be our bench. This is all positive as an outlook but we have to deliver and start to get some 3 pts on the board. I think the next stage of the season is more exciting and we now have cover and options. A key point now is can the coach find the winning combo, built motivation and get the best from what he has. If he does i think we will be reight.
