Crazy scenes. Massive flooding and a beast of a tornado that looked like it's stepped right out of Oklahoma.

There is no excuse for this. Not going ahead with a sporting event when there is a threat to life is just not on.

Right on bro. I was once at a baseball match in New Jersey and that was abandoned because a tornado came through. Might not have been a bad thing though, 4 hours of rounders might have been a bit much. Did have to scoff mi hot dog down quick though. :(

Looks like an EF2/3. Nasty thing to go through, and will increase in frequency the more we throw our climate equilibrium out of whack unfortunately

Yeah, but that will take some doing. I saw that boiling kettle analogy recently ............ 2 mins to boil a kettle full of hot water from cold, but 3 hours for it to cool down to the starting temperature.

Man made Global Warming has taken what - a couple of hundred years? So even if we turn everything off today, just imagine how long it will take to reset :-(

Didn't just put paid to the tennis it also forced hundreds of people to sleep at Flushing Meadows. The Ralph Lauren store completely wiped out with people buying clothes to sleep in as the roads out in to the city were closed and the subway was completely down.

Awful for them. The footage on the morning news of the water in the subways was mental.

But then global warming isn't a thing for some.

In Brooklyn - tried to get the subway into the city….got to the station, nothing running, people everywhere. Turned around and came home.

    Madness
