Well, he's been out since pre season with a leg injury and the rumours were that he was doing really well and would be back after the international break, now it looks as if they're putting the brakes on a quick return. Same too for Williams. Neither player to be rushed back Fonzie Joe Laumann
In theory yes, but Kitching has been a bit wider, almost as an orthodox left back at times. Not sure I’d want to see Halme up against opposition wingers
I'd rather not rush him. He's been working so hard to get back to full fitness it would be getting if he had a set back. Hopefully we've strengthened the midfield and forward line which will help the defence. I'm sure Moon will step up to the place, just have to hope no injuries to Helik.
Pointless exercise buddy. I also think the rule that states that if a referee has seen it, that they can't issue further punishment, is a complete nonsense too. Take the other QPR player for example - Ilias Chair. His 'tackle' on Moon was a blatant red card challenge. The ref books him. So nothing further can be done. That is a nonsense. Why can't it be properly punished afterwards? Should have been issued with a three-game ban. If they can overturn refereeing decisions using VAR, why not after the game regardless? But don't get me started on VAR. It should only be a 'thing' if applied in every game at professional level. Simple as that. Because otherwise, what we have now is a sport where rules are not applied the same way in every game. It's like the police only using a breathalyser in only 25% of cases of potential drink driving incidents, and just guessing the rest. I'm still fuming at the handful of goals we had unfairly ruled out last season. VAR would have seen all of them awarded. We were going for promotion ffs. It can't be right. Similarly, how are Derby County still a club? They've broken enough rules to be banned from competing, never mind given a points deduction.
[QUOTE="leythtyke, post: 2804040, member: 122421"Think i'd rather switch to a back 4 and give the new left back a go.[/QUOTE] I fully expect the reason for getting a new left back is to do just that.
Have they (The EFL aka useless cnuts) even looked at it Helen. If so, the club should be having words with the EFL about the inconsistencies and ask why Austin's incident was not punishable. ( I'd love to see the explanation) Conway was only on about ( a couple of weeks or so ago) how weak the authorities were. Obviously not in our case.
Kitching deserved it as it was a silly thing to do. However, would someone from the EFL come out and explain why Charlie Austin was not retrospectively banned? The level of inconsistently is appalling, is it any wonder no one trusts them. I think Conway should give it to them big time. The EFL set a precedent by not banning Austin, why should Kitching be any different?
Kitching deserves it, just as McGeehan did. Im sure he’ll come back stronger though. I’m impressed with his apology
Austin should be punished whether ref saw it and thought it was an accident is immaterial. It was an opinion by a bystander which would not hold up in a court of law the evidence is clear on both incidents . The EFL/FA are akin to a gangster outfit at times making their own verdicts as they go along . Too much ?able Money swirling around and corruption is ingrained including all the bodies that hold them to account and probably higher.
If anyone does manage to prove that there is consistent logic in these things and the EFL’s enforcement of rules such as FFP, they can then move on to the simpler issues of eradicating world hunger and resolving the problems in the Middle East.
I'm with you on that sentiment mate. I hate inconsistency in such things. However, the only consistency the FIFA / UEFA / FA / PL / EFL have, is inconsistency.
I'll just add it was disgusting from Kitching and he deserves everything he gets. He headbutted the back of the Birmingham lads head which made it cowardly too.
No it isn't, he plays for QPR. Nailed on ban if you play for Barnsley, not even considered if you play for a "fashionable" club. The FA are simply not fit for purpose.
