David Tuttle was the only Reds player, I ever had a serious problem with. Dressing room clown or not, don’t fall about laughing at your own mistakes in front of us. At least Keith Brown had a go & broke a sweat. Well rid of him, before Wembley. Bad egg.
I break out in sweats when I remember Brown’s performance at Wembley. Quite simply the worst individual display I’ve ever seen.
I'm probably being a little unfair on him. I just associate him with the start of a very dark period in BFC's history. The playoff team disintegrated, and players of the calibre of Hignett and Eaden were replaced by the likes of Carl Regan, Alex Neill and others. Within two years we'd been relegated to the 3rd tier and had gone into admin. It's only now, a full 20 years later, that I feel like we've fully recovered.
