Rogers is ranked 43 in the world and made the quarters in two slams previously. And just knocked out the world number one and Wimbledon champion. It’ll be a tough task. Organisers of the tournament would be daft not to have this on Armstrong or Ashe. Both girls are the talk of the tournament. I think if Emma plays anything close to the standard she did yesterday, she can beat anyone in the draw. I just wonder about fatigue. She’s already been in New York for two weeks, played six games. Exciting though innit.
To be fair to Emma, the girl she played yesterday, had one of the best records this season on the tour and was expected to beat Emma. Rogers will be favourite based on her ranking but either could win
I can only compare her performance yesterday to one you’d have seen from a Hingis, Clijsters, Williams when they were breaking through. It was like watching a world number one. At 18-year-old. Crackers.

Might have to try and find a stream somewhere - I will see what I am doing when the game gets underway
