We've been getting vans left on our street for last 2 months, thought it was someone 1 working for a hire firm. Nope They left 1 Wednesday night so went for a nosy drivers window smashed. Phoned the company name on van it was stolen. Cheeky barsteward even came back later that day to take.

thats what they do pal. They’ll park it on an estate for a day or two to make sure that if the police do find it then it’s nowhere near the thief’s home. They return a few days later and if it’s still there they throw some false plates on it and off they go.

Worsborough was where my nicked car surfaced. The police went to confirm that it was mine and supposedly make it safe, but before my mate could pick it up (I'd gone on holiday), it disappeared again. Never saw it again.

Informed South Yorkshires finest yesterday at 08:20 was told somebody would get back to me with a crime number still waiting. The fact they can't be bothered to come out and attend the scene of the crime and actually investigate is the reason these scum bags continue to thieve they know unless they are unfortunate enough to rear end a police car on the way to a KFC or Macdonald's they ain't going to get caught. I'm begining to think the law abiding majority should start to fight back and take steps to stop these scumbags if SYP and the other forces can't or won't.

Usually abandoned for a couple of days away from the thieves home to see if its recovered as many vans (especially fleet vans) are fitted with trackers.. if its not recovered after a couple of days the thieves know they can stick some fake plates on and fly about without a care in the world. Some one on here yesterday wrote how he thought the American police were politicised. Only as much as ours are, picking and choosing their crime is a big, big giveaway..
They're very big on 'hurt feelings crime' these days.
Which of course isn't a crime because it's subjective..

If someone steals my car then what is the point in them turning up at my address, unless there's some clear evidence left behind?

99.9% of the offenders are forensically aware, so the likelihood of it being worth their time is probably rather low. In an ideal world then of course they should turn out, but this is what happens when you cut public services constantly.

There were plenty of em available for Boris's Bash in Cornwall in June you couldn't move for plod in Cornwall came from all over the country but that was all on overtime and a nice Jolly for em. Ask em to do proper police work and there's none to be found.
