I don’t think there’s anything in that article which isn’t normal.

The lad always works hard - just not had game time with us to show anything further. I don’t recall him getting any stick from fans either.

Be careful you don't bump into owt whilst walking about with you eyes and ears shut. He hardly played for us so not necessarily at the match, but I'd say that on social media he had more persecutors than admirers and that includes on here. Felt sorry for the lad myself.

Pleased for the lad. Hope he tears up that division and finds a place he can thrive.

Another player that didn't get a fair crack of the whip here in his favoured position. I'd add him to a list that includes Schmidt and Wilks.

What do you mean without justification? He is nowhere near Championship level. He hasn't exactly been prolific elsewhere. 132 games and 16 goals.

I would tend to disagree. Most fans I've talked to in the past thought he should have been given more time. Even in his midfield role. I've never seen someone so small get as high to headers as he did. Regularly beating six footers. ( refs pulled him up unfairly thinking he somehow cheated.) Darlington put him up front and the rest is history.

TBH Stephen. Wilks. Apart from his first game. Didn't exactly put himself about.

Why should he take stick ?, people are two quick to slag off & I do not give a monkey"s what is record is at other clubs , all I am saying is that he has little or no opportunities at Oakwell in the striker role & now we have given him a chance out on loan & he goes with my blessing where I hope he does very well & already he has got off to flying start , you say he is nowhere near championship class , well that is only your opinion , we will see how he develops . I do not where you got his stats from but you are wrong, he has actually started 52 games & scored 21 goals in his league career which to be honest is pretty decent .

Nowt against Miller - always gave his all when given the few minutes he got, just didn't seem to be good enough for what we wanted. Not his fault.

Hope he goes nuts at Walsall and makes a career in the game.

    Two great finishes.

The one where he hit the woodwork was an outrageous effort. Goal of the season if it goes in.

That’s not how I remember it. He was seen as a very promising prospect but It was reported he had a ‘falling- out’ with Allan Clarke and was transferred to Darlington for £5000 if I remember rightly.
