According to ssn Derby have agreed an immediate point deduction with the efl' rumours that its 9 points nothing confirmed...
Pardon my ignorance, but why are they agreeing to one, rather than just being sanctioned with it? It makes it sound like the EFL have said, would you like a points deduction lads? And they've said, arr crack on.
Must agree that it sounds very much like they have agreed rather than it being enforced as a punishment. Wonder if Rooney was asked if he minded? Bet they wouldn’t ‘ask’ us!
I wonder if it's because if they fought it and pleaded their case and prolonged it, there was a chance it could be more points deducted? No idea otherwise, seems a bit daft.
Exactly, it should be imposed on them and the full 12 point deduction, makes it sound like they have negotiated it down to 9 points with the other 3 suspended.
As far as i understand they have agreed to 9pts. This is reduced from 12 that the EFL would apply. The agreement would mean that it wouldn't go to an independent body or to appeal. Essentially this could be costly and risk being 12 rather than 9. I guess if the evidence is clear and overwhelming Derby would see this as their best option. The EFL would also see it as being quicker and bring closure.
