Blackburn don't seem to have suffered from the departure of Adam Armstrong, with Ben Brereton-Diaz stepping up with 4 goals already this season. On the road, Blackburn are unbeaten, drawing with Millwall and Middlesbrough, and narrowly beating basement side Nottingham Forest. Even in that victory, the stats don't point to a dominant performance, and the winner came late in the game. I do think Blackburn aren't great travellers, averaging a point a game away from home last season. Historically, we've had the beating over Blackburn in recent memory, winning the last 3 meetings at Oakwell. We've scored in each of our last 10 meetings at home with Blackburn, winning 5, drawing 3 and losing just twice. With the above in mind, I'm going for a 2-0 win, with Woodrow and Styles on the scoresheet.
We desperately need 2 or 3 players to return. We can only rely on Brad so many times. Blackburn have improved no end since that lad invented a new name and went to play for Chile. Really thought they’d struggle without Armstrong so fair play to em. Not worried longer term but the short term pain continues with a 2-1 defeat.
Blackburn have scored in every game so far, and scored twice in 5/7 games, while we have been goalless twice and only managed to get a second goal against qpr. If we’re going to defend out wide like we did the other night, then we’ll need more heroics from Collins to stop them getting at least 2. Nyambe caused all sorts of problems for us last season at Ewood Park. They’ve also scored a few from set pieces, with Lenahan and Ayala getting a few between them. 2-1 Blackburn. With a goal for Iseka being the bright spot.
Ive really no idea on this one - can see it being anywhere between 2-0 to us and 0-3 to them As others have pointed out Blackburn are scoring every game. We have won the last 3 at home against them 2-0 or 2-1 Head says 1-1 which wouldn't be great but not a disaster, we do need to win a game or two though - with draws we are just treading water
