How is Schopp responsible for a lack of quality personnel? Isn’t that due to injuries and suspensions or even recruitment?
Can't even understand some of the negativity today. Individual players missed a couple of decent chances that on another day would have gone in. Yeah we didn't win, but we played pretty well.
At least we created a couple of decent chances but let’s be honest rovers were there for the taking but a lack of composure yet again cost us.
I think things that scuppered us winning were Oduor not breaking the net, Helik tame head on target, Fridge header on the target that was straight at the keeper, Brittain wasting two chances by shooting and when Victor in their box beat the defender multiple times without putting the ball across from a dangerous position.
Just read a comment that we aren't progressing under Schoppp, that would be after how many games with a squad lacking key players , unbelievable really. Some of our fans get more like Wednesdayites by the week!
Sorry guys but you must be easy pleased if you found that anywhere near acceptable and that's not me having a go at the the players....schopps poor tactics again......he needs to go way out of his depth for me ....
These are my player ratings with comments: Collins - made one excellent save one on one with the attacker. Played the sweeper keeper well, saved routine efforts when called on. 7/10 Helik - Absolute rock at the back. Distribution the best I've seen it so far this season. Should have made his header more difficult for the keeper. 8/10 Moon - Not sure I'd have given him MOTM but he was solid and never looked like he was beaten on the left side of defence unlike Wednesday night. 7/10 Halme - Composed, did everything right even though some of his passing around our own penalty area left me anxious. Nothing to complain about. 7/10 Sibbick - Didn't really get much of the ball first half, and was almost pressed up against their full back when we were attacking. Covered well when needed. 6/10 Styles - Still doesn't seem to do too much of the defensive work of the the LWB role he is allegedly playing. Assume that's tactical from Schopp and that Moon is covering there. Looked decent going forward though, both at LWB and in the centre second half. 6/10 Gomes - unbelievably vocal for a 19 year old kid. Will captain a side at some point. Passing wasn't out standing, but positionally and defensively excellent. 7/10 Brittain - Does not look comfortable as part of a central midfield two. Looked much better at RWB second half. Needs to work on his finishing or make a simpler pass/cross. 6/10 Oduor - best 45 minutes I've seen him have first half. Squandered a chance, but it was saved by the goalkeeper, not an open net. Looked competent at LWB for the last 10 minutes. 7/10 Leya Iseka - Combined well with the players around him. Assume the half time substitution was due to match fitness as I'd have given him another 15 minutes to see if he could create something out of nothing. 6/10 Woodrow - Seems to be looking for a foul all the time with his back to the defenders. With the ball at his feet pushing forward looks much better. Hopefully we can find a combination to get the best out of him soon. 6/10 Hondermarck - looks like a big strong physical midfielder who can boss the midfield, maybe not as good on the ball as some others, but definitely a place for him in the squad. 7/10 Frieser - probably his quietest game this season, unlucky with the header the keeper saved, put the best cross of the day over which Adeboyejo fluffed at the back post. 6/10 Adeboyejo - used his physicality when he came on up front which we'd been missing. Missed a sitter when all he needed was to get a touch on it. 6/10 I can't see that as a bad performance.
