Yes, Victor looked really up for it and even beat a few men to get to the bye line and get a cross in.
Victor didn’t look too bad when coming on today but I’ve just never got any confidence that he’ll score.
I was thinking during the game today that I’ve not noticed anything out of the ordinary from Moon. Which is a huge compliment meaning that he doesn’t look out of place after, like you say, kind of getting thrown straight in there this season.
No criticism intended of Moon at all. It's just that I thought Helik was tremendous at both ends of the field and seems to be back to his best.
Moon had a decent game. He was solid defensively as were his two defensive partners but I think Blackburn were clearly allowing Moon to be the defender who brought the ball forward as they didn’t believe he could hurt us playing on his weaker side. As others have said Helik was a clear MOTM
i agree. That striker instinct seems to be missing. Two six yarders missed in 2 games and tried to be to precise to pick a pass when he turned their LB inside out in the area. Should have drilled it into the danger area and let the others do their job. Having said all that he has been a positive from his appearances but needs to contribute with impact of assists or goals to stay in and around the squad.
Think you are being incredibly hash saying he missed a six yarder yesterday. Had it been a 6 yarder he would have got there but it was about 6 inches from going in and he failed to get there despite rushing in to the right area. I don’t think he did anything wrong. Lots of strikers just miss getting to those chances all the time At least he is getting into positions where he has a chance. He should have scored the one at Stoke but nothing he could have done about yesterday’s
One out of Maybe. One out of two would have been great. But he doesn't have a record of reading or reacting to this close range opportunities. What im saying given he is getting in these positions he needs to make em count to be a regular at this level.
Awful effort. Anytime he shoots it's frustrating because you know straight away it's a wasted team opportunity because he cannot score. If he was one on one with a keeper and successfully took it around him he would be best off waiting for someone to square it to so he didn't miss a tap in.
He was never going to get it anywhere near with the position he was in. Good pick out by odour though
