People. Please use Penistone cinema more. It's beautiful, it's licenced! And it's struggling to remain open

All these venues need support after COVID.

Like. It’s just had a shed loada money spent on it, and had its tenancy extended. Had plans to extend further as well, until covid hit. It’s a brilliant place. If it can ride the storm it will last another 100 years.

I think they should do a showing of Daydream Believers with special guests from the clubs past , I’d book tickets for that and it would IMO be a great advertising stunt .

Great wee cinema and I always enjoyed going there when I lived in the area. Love the fact that they still had an interval and you could get a pint half way through the film.

Having said that, I've seen some absolute dross there with ex-girlfriends: Look Who's Talking and First Knight spring to mind.

Ohh and the buggars wouldn't let me in to see Firefox because I was underage - I'm still bearing that grudge

I've been twice since lock down and love the place, but I'm not a big cinema go-er. Maybe I should try.

I didn't mind Firefox. A bit dated now.

I was already deaf from an exploding speaker at a Coast gig in the Centenary Rooms and many would say I was dumb , fortunately the plaster hit me on the top of the head !!

You’d barely recognise the place now, it’s much improved.
