Always a reason like players missing or playing a form team. Today we played a team nearer us in the table who when we were having one of our best seasons ever were in the league below us. If nothing changes in the next two Schopp has to go. He has no idea, looks to have lost the dressing room and not one of the summer signings have impressed so far. We didn't look like scoring today and the only plus is our goal difference didn't get damaged by more. Our fans were chanting we're ******* **** at ourselves and you couldn't score in a brothel. Booed off half time and full time, as well as after the awful corner we took towards the end. When a few came over at the end more than a few were telling them to **** off and not bother. Cauley was in a heated debate with a ran but he was arguably our best player today. Expectations have changed. **** being little old Barnsley. I hope Conway is deep in thought tonight as a relegation battle is unthinkable.
We have to be realistic & acknowledge that another top 6 finish this season would be a tall order. However, what last seasons finish should have done for us is made it easier for us to progress in terms of establishing ourselves as one of the better sides in the division, & who knows, maybe go for another top 6 finish next season or the season after. Instead we have gone backwards, mainly due to the managerial change, & not replacing a couple of key players, & of course our insistence on signing young inexperienced players hoping they kick on straight away. We are in a relegation battle now, no two ways about it, so for me it’s time to make a change before it’s too late!
Never met the bloke( manager) but my gut feeling is,he is egotistical and full of self importance.Your dealing with young men who need a father figure and motivation.Val seemed to have that in spades. This guy most certainly doesn't!.
The managers out of his depth and the players need somebody In their faces all the time making them perform
I'm sure whitey will be on here later giving us some reasons / excuses for another piss poor performance.
Didn’t go today so can’t comment too much but listened to Schopp’s after match interview and he mentions a couple of players lacking competitiveness and not winning their duels so who do we think he was on about.
I think I might give this board a wide berth for the next few days, seems to be rife with the stoopids at the minute.
I appreciate Schopp is underperforming, he’s failing to get the players to perform. But the Neolithic ideas of ‘management’ are nothing short of a joke. Even if you’ve never managed anyone, surely you’ve been managed? The idea that you can motivate grown up blokes by getting ‘In their faces all the time making them perform’, ask yourself; who managed you best? How did they get you to perform? Val might have a reputation, and he might have looked ‘menacing’ but if you believe he got those performances through fear, you’re probably never going to get an opportunity to manage a team
Reminds of Ferguson, where everyone talks about the hairdryer treatment. Yet when former players are interviewed they all talk about his man management, father figure etc who would explode when needed. In other words it was in his armoury but he very rarely needed it, I’m sure Val would have been the same.
Where are all the apologists tonight? Get rid now. Why waste two more games against lower opposition. Conway accept you've bought a duffer and get rid before we're in League 1.
I don't like the booing and getting on young players backs but this manager is setting them up to fail. Horrible performance today
I've just eaten a nice kebab, I'm loving these beers and I'm about to enjoy the Joshua fight, I hope! My post history is there for all to read. I don't think I excuse poor performances. But c'est la vie!
