    The squad isn’t actually that good and should be comfortably in the bottom half.

    That’s no disrespect to any of them, but I think the team overachieved in a massive, massive way last season due to many factors.

    I love our players and think they are brilliant, but some on here should have a think before posting.

    Yes.

    the manager may or may not be any good but we don’t have a top half team. People may want to kid themselves that we did because of last season. But we don’t. Which again, is not a slight on the players who with the important players now gone performed amazingly last year.

    also and let’s not forget this……. The manager has only had 9 league games and some are saying we should pull the trigger. Crazy if you ask me!

    They didn’t over achieve they were drilled by their manager and everyone of them knew what was expected of them. unlike now

    This squad is a top 8 squad, Collins Helik Anderson Brittain Styles Benson Morris, Woodrow would get in the majority of championship sides now.

    Kitchin, Sibbick J Williams, Gomes, Palmer, Walton and hopefully Iseka, Vita and Oulare can achieve the standard.

    17 players there to pick from.

    Let Halme, Moon, B Williams, Frieser, Vic, Oduor, support the bench and squad but they are not starting 11 players yet.

    The players weren't good enough but they are now. They need to be well drilled.

    My thoughts are that we struggled at playing attractive football, playing from the back and staying in the div. Val came in, had a game plan and changed the style. It suited us betters we didn't have the players to compete for a season playing on the floor football. He had discipline and everyone bought into the plan. We then bring in a manager who wants to revert to what we weren't good at. In addition we lose the best footballing player we had. So now we rebuild (again). But will we have the quality to play football from the back. Will we have the experience to grind the wins from draws, and draws from losses. Time will tell but right now im not sure what our gameplay is. One thing for certain, i am seeing is playing 2-3 starters that i never expected to see starting at this point of the season and thought they would be fringe players. 2-3 players i expected to strengthen us getting minimal game time. all plus a setup and balance that i cant figure out.

    If we had over achieved we would have been playing in the premiership.Last year showed what can be done with the right management of the players

    It's a mid table squad. Top ten if one of the new strikers clicks and Morris repeats his form of lsst season.

    I completely disagree. Best keeper and centre half in the league wing backs that can cause damage youth and plenty of talented players in midfield up front play 2 from 6 and motivate them.

    This manager is a dead duck I'm afraid.

    Overall yes I agree, certainly the squad that is left attempting to technically out play teams will lead us to relegation battle

    I think the squad is comfortably bottom half, but should be well capable of reaching around 55 points if well coached and playing the right tactics. Unfortunately I can’t see where the next win is coming from the way we are playing.
