OT - Politics. Which of these potential leaders would you vote for?

Corbyn for the ideology. Blair for the leadership qualities. I actually dislike Blair but he was very good at the dispatch box, good on telly and was a persuasive party manager.
Can't believe some people actually voted Starmer after his shenanigans at conference when the Tories should be being attacked, his lies about nationalisation, his expulsion of decent socialists. Very poor leadership.

It's not a good look. For Starmer, or for the supposed Labour member who is trying to do a hatchet job on the leader of the party they are allegedly a member of.

 

I agree, but he knows cameras are there and any misstep will be plastered all over social media. His instinct here was to avoid and ignore, which never comes across well in situations like that.

 

If he'd engaged in some way, there would be some criticism anyway, that was the whole point of the set up. Just disappointing people on his own team want to do that. All while DePfeffel watches on.. well... if he could be bothered.

Decent support for Angela Rayner - imagine thinking like her, that people who are from a different background or have a different political belief system are "scum". It's absolutely no better than Thatcher's attitude to the working classes and perversely is Tory-esque in its aims of actively recognising difference and division.

One vote for Thatcher and two votes for Nigel Farage. Nothing even needs to be said on that, assuming it's not a wind-up.

And someone actually promotes Jacinda Ardern!! Presumably that person and those who "liked" that post have no desire to ever leave the country in their lifetimes.

Whether she is or she isn't is irrelevant, he should have at least acknowledged her, the noise now is "Starmer doesn't care about young labour voters".

Don't get me wrong, I'm a card carrying labour member and voted for Starmer in the leadership contest as I honestly believed he'd be able to get labour back in power, but every day that goes by has me questioning that decision more and more.

 

Won't be a wind up. 1 or 2 on here will be right wing. Law of averages says so.
Angela Raynor is out of the school of Corbyn. More power to her elbow (would attract more female voters.) . Would get my vote.
Burnham I believe. is quite a popular choice. Don't know if he'd want the leadership though. At this moment in time.( He says "in the distant future". If the party want him.) After losing to Corbyn.

 

Totally agree, how the hell she got so high up I can't figure, if she got to be actual leader, that would be curtains for Labour again no matter how bad the Tories are! Its like Labour just never learn.

I'm not sure what the poll is aimed at, but I suspect the ideology (perceived or true) won't play a huge part in peoples voting intentions when push comes to shove.

We've moved beyond politics (though it could and hopefully should spring back... at some stage) that is about manifesto, promise and delivery for a majority. But instead more about perception and some perverted notion of likeability. How anyone can find a cowardly liar and an idiot likeable, I'm really not sure.
