    Which deckchairs should go where this time? I'm going;

    3-5-2

    Collins

    Kitching
    Helik
    Sibbick

    Styles
    Benson
    Gomes
    Palmer
    Brittain

    Woodrow
    Iseka

Subs: Walton, Moon, J Williams, Hondermarck, Odour, Frieser, Adeboyejo

Though, I picked the same front three as Schopp for Saturday, which turned out terribly.

I completely agree with OPs formation and selection. We need to drop the 3 up front, especially if we are not employing the aggressive press. It will also give us more in the middle to hopefully control and create more. Woodrow has always looked best in a 2 up front imo.

I agree with your team for me it is spot on with the players available, Styles who was regarded as one of the best wing backs in the league has got to go back to playing there & Gomez who I thought was excellent until cramping up a bit in our last home game has got to return to the middle , I would also like to see a return of Cameron Thomson to the bench if he is fit instead of say Victor as I thought he looked quite promising in the early season.

Correct me if I'm wrong on this but hasn't he only played about 20 minutes against Bolton? Not featured anywhere else has he? Thought he looked rapid but that was probably the only positive from that cameo.

I haven't seen Thompson, so couldn't comment. But given our lack of goals, there's not a great deal to lose in giving him and/or Cole a call up to the bench.

I'd probably play the same. Any kind of formation that gives us some width again really.

Only change I'd make is starting Frieser for Iseka on the basis that we'll be getting the ball out wide, controlling more play in the centre of the pitch, and will ultimately be supplying to the front pair more. This midfield, despite being inexperienced, is not a candidate for relegation.

Yeah, would be harsh on Frieser. Only reason I didn't put him was I felt he and Woodrow tended to make the same runs, and take up similar positions, so thought Iseka or Victor would complement Woodrow better in a front 2.

Halme instead of sibbick who moves to bench for Williams.

Don't think we've got the personnel to play 4 at the back. Wouldn't be confident of playing Styles/Brittain as full backs - so I'd go with 3 at the back with the 2 Callum's as wing backs.

It's either a 343 or a 352 - depending on whether you go with picking the extra midfielder or forward. If its 2 up top, then the wide lads have got to be positive, otherwise it could turn into a back 6.

Oh and pick Sibbick. Don't think he's done owt wrong.

I thought he played against Man City but I could easily have got that wrong & to be honest I had forgotten about Cole who surely must be worth a place on the bench

I'd like to see this team and formation start and tell Woodrow to lead the line and not drop deep. I do have concerns about changing formation though after Saturdays performance I'd be willing to take that risk. Having said that, if Oulare is available I'd get him straight in and continue with 3-4-3 and drop Gomes from that line up.

I agree. If we absolutely have to go to a back four then I'd go with Sibbick and Kitching in the full back positions. I think they'd be more suited than Styles or Brittain but I still wouldn't be confident (at the moment) and would prefer we continue with a back three. Maybe after the international break and when Mads returns it could be more of possibility.

I think Kitching and Jordan Williams would be the full backs in a back 4. Brittain would be competing for a place as a DM in a 4-2-3-1 or right mid in a 4-1-4-1 which were said to be Schopp’s preferred formations previously.

is stuck with Sibbick for pace plus he did well last season. Not so convinced on Halme so I'd have him as sub.

Cole, Hondermarck and Vita all playing for the u23s today, so they won’t be in the squad.
