    Does he get the boot?

To me he comes across as out most inspirational manager since Paul Hart.

Hopefully. I can't see it though. Probably wait until we're 5 points adrift before doing something. Still dreaming of the net bulging tonight and then everything will be alright in the world again.

Currently 1 league win in 9 this season and 1 draw and 3 defeats from last 4 games last season.

    Surely the pressure is mounting.

Considering we’ve been in and around the bottom six of the Championship under five of our last six Championship managers, I’m not sure they’ll be so quick to pull the trigger just yet.

Performance is everything though. You can fail to win but show promise and potential, whereas on Saturday we did neither. Couple more of that kind of double jeopardy and it does become more realistic. I would say though that the CEO seemed to be showing some sympathy to the challenge around expectation, Summer upheaval, etc. which might buy Schopp more time than some fans are happy with.

Doubt it. The club will want to give him every chance to turn it around. Sacking him will cost a fair bit, whereas him turning it round could lead to us being paid by another club for him.

Need to see some signs of improvement though, and if he continues to just blame the players in interviews then it’s not going to end well.

It's not necessarily losing that is critical for me at the moment, its the manner of the defeats that worries me. There seems to be a disintegration of spirit, invention and tightness. That's why I think he should probably go. It's still reasonably early in the season but he's had 10 games now and there should be some development apparent. There isn't.
So in spite of some on here suggesting its madness to want him out now I don't think it is this time. It's early enough to save the season but much longer and the season is dead.
Lets see what the performance is actually like tonight. If they lose but play well maybe there will still be some hope. Maybe Ill change my mind about him going and eat humble pie. I'm not optimistic though and suspect my current views will be reinforced. We'll see.

If we go behind tonight the atmosphere at Blackpool will seem very small in comparison and if the board take note he won't last the week.

All depends on performance levels. Continue in the same vain then I’d argue that the players themselves are actually behind him, & if that’s the case he’s definitely got to go. I get the feeling is completely over complicating things compared to the simple but effective tactics on show last season. These players are at this level for a reason, they can’t be expected to perform like Man City.

Personally I think sacking him is inevitable at some point this side of Christmas anyway, so might as well get on with it & find a replacement.

I think if you ever reach the stage where a manager is one more loss away from the sack then younshould just sack them anyway.

He won’t but the fans will turn so there is an air of inevitability.
I have had an affinity with 4 of our last 5 managers previous to Schopp but he has done nothing to inspire, so I won’t be losing any sleep if he goes !

He seems to think that this tippy tappy practice match tempo will eventually come good. It never will and until he starts telling his players to drive forward then we're just hoping for a mistake from the opposition or a worldy. There aren't many teams in this division who can walk the ball into the net but we try every game. I'd give him 3 more games to change it.

Who knows if he truly was one game away or not, not denying he was. If anything it's kind of my point. At that stage you are just basically waiting for a excuse to sack someone. Look at what SAF went on to achieve. Nobody should be sacked on the toss of a coin of any given football match. Calmer heads need to prevail one way of the other.

I think he gets the Miwwo game, even if tonight goes very badly wrong.

Two defeats, coupled with the same goalscoring threat as the last couple of games, though, and there might be a decision to make.

Do you think the Board should take decisions based on the reaction of fans at Blackpool many of whom were off their heads? Don’t think so.

When did manager/coach performance depend on the result obtained under the previous incumbent? Does this mean that if Schopp goes, the next manager is judged on his last few games too?
