However, that does not detract from another absolutely woeful performance. Absolutely dreadful. Shape, penetration, passing all lacking. Formation doesn't suit players. Utter utter garbage.

Forest counter attacks killed us. We were in a great attacking position, Frieser loses the ball and a few seconds later they are down the other end scoring.

Victor in front of goal too scared to shoot, loses the ball and a few seconds later they have scored.

No messing around by Forest when it comes to getting from one end of the pitch to the other in super quick time.

I don’t think either of them were offside. Freeze frame of the first shows the player clearly onside, and on the second I believe (but haven’t seen a replay yet) that as soon as we touched the ball a new phase of play started - hence the flag going up and then down.

Might be wrong on that but I think it’s part of the stupid new offside rules. Not one I agree with at all.

So a defender can’t attempt to cut out a pass to a player who is probably offside because if he touches it he plays him on? Even though he would just let the ball go out of play if he wasn’t there. You may be right but if you are the rule is too stupid for words

Not that I am feeling robbed we deserved to get hammered

Neither were offside looked at recordings.

Question though linesman flags for 2nd goal which had to have an impact on our players seeing that..

But that aside.. Jasper Moon at fault for 2nd and third goals. 2nd one, completely out of line and plays their player onside.. 2nd, gets destroyed too easily.

Defo not upto champ standard yet, needs to get some experience in lower leagues 1st.

Check my picture/freeze frame in the match day thread.

The linesman stuck the flag up for reasons unknown.

When the pass was played, Moon kept him onside anyway. And the linesman for some reason as Kitchen tried to intercept it, put the flag up.

Complete farce. He was onside anyway.

    As was the other goal

Neither were offside, but even if they were it was still an absolute abomination of a second half performance.

What Schopp sees I don’t know, because he didn’t see what was obvious to the 12000 odd in attendance, the sky commentators or the thousands of viewers at home. To not change shape and strengthen the middle of the park, at least in numbers, was criminal.

I don’t care whether they were offside or not - that’s just not good enough. The fact they were actually onside just compounds it.

Definitely the rule. See Ollie Watkins’ goal at Newcastle last season.

If you play at the ball then the ball is deemed to be back in play. It’s not a rule I’ve got any time for, and maybe I’ve interpreted it wrong, but it’s definitely something along those lines. On this though it looks like they were onside anyway.

Kind of. But I think that’s why the Lino went flat up/flag down so it’s still a valid discussion.

    This is the equaliser.

Pass already played, but this time, Kitching keeping him onside.

I've just had to rewind my sky box nearly an hour for that lol

I don't give a flying **** if their goals were offside or not. They could have had another two or three at least and were far and away the better team. They got what they deserved and so did we.

I can't fathom why he did it.

Maybe he had a rush of blood and accidentally stuck his flag up cos kitchen played it.

Horrendous all round irrespective, but was onside. I can get why Collins might have been distracted with it though.

Maybe so, but it's a case of confirming that some fans (me included in real time) was busting a vain or 2 with blood pressure incorrectly, thinking we'd been hard done by.

But yeah, it's a valid point had these decisions gone our way (which they shouldn't have). Forest were more than capable of finishing us off anyway.

Yes, his failure to control a ball, got forest their first goal.

I'd go as far as saying, tbh, that the officials didn't do too bad.

Yes I felt he took too long to make a decision on a clear penalty. But came to the correct decision.

I would also argue that the referee, 4th official and linesman, were all positioned so at least one of them could realise that the foul on Helik, really should have seen red. Which is a **** to take, because that same player scored...

But, I'm not about to lambast a set of officials against a totally inept performance and tactical nounce of Schopp

They were merely things for us to try and grasp at straws for yet another total shambles of a performance and result.

Looked like their keeper carried the ball out of the area in the lead up to one of the goals (think it was the second).

I’ll now put these straws back
