If Markus does go, I’d be tempted to let Bobby & Disco care take & see how they get on. As long as there’s good coaches to pick up the slack lower down? :)

How about some ex players with their badges?
At least they would have the passion and affinity with the fans and club.

I'd offer it to Adam Murray myself. Knows the lads & worked on set pieces last season to great effect. Would he leave West Brom to be head coach? Who knows? Would give him to the end of the season & a bonus for staying up.

Any of us could manage a 70% win percentage at Celtic.

Whoever ends up in charge, your bonus idea should be implemented not just for the coach, the players too.
Can't agree with Murray though sorry bud ;-)

    Right one by one..
Stendel... Had by far the best squad in L1 that season.. championship fail..
Stuber.. yep kept us up, but in the last kick of the last game. Add in reality only because of Wigan's point deduction. so was he really the miricle worker..
Val.. only one Val, never be another land here like him. Which isn't good for any future coaches, they'll always be compared to him..
All the planets were aligned, for that season. 5 subs hoof ball, covid so no fans and Val's sheer presence.. one off never happen again.

He wouldn’t come back even if we matched his wages, anyway he’s premiership bound

The best shout in this thread so far. Had his hands tied at Preston. It would have protected his reputation if he had left when he started losing his best players, but can't fault him staying for the pay off of a sacking. Owes us some good seasons as a head coach after what we had to put up with him as a player.

Roy Keane for me. Won't suffer fools and will demands 110%. I can accept lack of quality if we always make the sacrifices and make the effort. Says he wants to get back into management, too.

To be fair to Struber. If you took his record alone in that season we would’ve been well up the table.

This. Struber took a team well adrift and somehow kept us up. Even before lockdown we were getting a points per game ratio that would be well clear of relegation had we not given the rest a 20 game start. No doubt lockdown helped but we were getting a lot more than a goal every 2 games under struber
