Mayo! Great name for a Dog. Did he watch the football final against Tyrone? Must have been gutted at the result. I was!
Last night, we decided to go out for a walk. We saw a lady just up the road, with a small cocker spaniel/ poodle cross. The dog saw us, and wagged. she then went to ground as if to say to the owner, "I'm not moving until I've said hello to these people". The owner tried to get the dog up, but the dog was just lying there wagging at us. Needless to say, we went and fussed the dog, and she got up and was happy to walk again. That, has been the highlight of the weekend so far.
We went for a walk tonight when suddenly this big Alsatian came running at us dragging a poor bloke behind him, he suddenly stopped sat down and started wagging his tail at us….the dog looked really embarrassed.
Yes, there’s a fair few left or injured from last seasons squad, but that would be a valid excuse if we had an extra 4 points or so. But 8 points from 11 games, 4 from the last 9, 2 from the last 6. 2 goals from the last 6 games. None from open play. It’s not good enough, and it’s getting worse with every game.
Six out of yesterday's starting XI began the final game of last season. Yes, almost exactly the same.
i agree that the spirit and experience maybe an issue. I think the Dike, Morris arguments apply in second half of season as we aligned em in Feb. i think we are all relying on the best players now being available but from what im seeing we dont know what our best team is, players dont seem settled or even have a run to get them integrated and know their roles. It seems trial and error. Brittains recent comments don't come as a surprise as it looks the way he says. i definitely think Mowatt is a bigger loss than people thought but we played games without him before and we cant keep dwelling on the past. this is the squad we have until Jan and its the managers hob to get results with it.
Blackburn showed no intent to attack for most of the game, and kept their full backs sat deep. Yet still carved us open on the counter attack once or twice
I agree they were poor compared to what i expected. But remember the current BBS logic that if an opponent performs well - we are rubbish, if opponent performs poorly - they are rubbish (not that we might've impacted their quality)
While all that's true can you name just one remaining player whose playing anywhere near the standard of last season under Schopp not better just the same because I can't and that's the biggest reason he has to go and go now, it's not just one or two that are off form it's them all and that can only be because of Schopp.
Yeah but, as any fat kid from the seventies will testify, being told you're in the nets requires no tactical input
