It would be good to know how far off he is, as well as Mads and Carlton Morris.

Unfortunately this is one of the massive problems at the minute, outside the select few ( not a dig ), there is two thirds of three fifths of ferk all engagement with fans !
Don’t expect every detail on every aspect but the Benson fall out /COVID nonsense could have been avoided.

Agree. You can’t comment on everything, but sometimes a weekly or fortnightly roundup would be good - other clubs do it.

I know some injury news maybe confidential, as to not affect player values or to not inform competitors in the league, but still……

Simon Davey used to play the injury game well, saying someone’s out for 2 weeks, then they’d play on the Saturday - keeping other teams guessing

The club confirmed he had tested positive for Covid. They also confirmed why it hadn't been announced straight away. And whilst the details of Benson's injury is unclear, maybe they're still trying to determine how long he'll be out for.

The falling out thing is obviously complete nonsense, and therefore doesn't require clarifying by the club.

I agree with you but you do realise it is open season on the club, the manager , the owners etc etc , it does not matter what common sense comments you make, the in thing to do at the moment is to hammer the club on anything & everything .

Total nonsense it's not a question of hammering the club on anything & everything it's concerned fans worried that from the outside the club appears to be falling apart at the seams both on and off the pitch. People leaving in droves and on field performances going rapidly downhill of course fans want answers as to what the hells going on. It shows they care about the club.

Everybody is concerned about the club , we are all fans & to see the progress we made last season fading away is disturbing & there are obvious problems at the club, but I read all the forums and the social media comments & to be honest some of the things said by so called fans go way above showing concern & wanting answers, some of the comments ,& accusations go way over the top to the point of being totally offensive which is bang out of order , there is a right way to conduct yourself , do you not agree ?

Abuse is never the right way to go but questions need to be asked and answers given. Like why are staff from several departments suddenly deciding BFC isn't the place they want to be some after years and years of service. Why have performance levels on the pitch dropped of a cliff since the new coach arrived. What did the owners see in the new coach that made them want him here. Why after several years of supposedly owning the club have the majority shareholders still not paid in full for it. These people are making the decisions about the future of the club we support and they still haven't paid for it in full. What is the real issue with the ground purchase instead of vague references to covenants and land rights etc spell it out exactly which things are the issues and why and why can't they be worked around.

If the slide continues on and off the pitch then the owners will have alot of vitriol aimed at them. I hope this CEO is up to the job.

There are so many questions, and there always have been. And frankly, answers just won't be forthcoming. That's the reality of the situation. We're just one in a number of clubs in a portfolio waiting for a seismic shift in TV rights where smaller clubs get huge numbers compared to now so they can sell. Personally, I don't see that happening. If anything, I can see a collapse in lower league funding from TV sources in the short to mid term, with bigger clubs getting even bigger percentages as they grow greedier.

I don't see a plan. I see a more radical continuation of a formula which shouldn't require much subsidy from its owners (though we've burned the Cryne reserves, so we've less wriggle room than ever). I don't see a club primed for off field investment. Of a new training ground like Nice (remember that vague promise?), of buying the ground which we were told was but a mere formality nearly 4 years ago (hard to believe we were taken over in December 2017).

I suspect we'll look back on 2020/21 as an absolute outlier in the ConLee era. Where massive fluctuations were the norm and yoyoing was most typical, where lessons were never learned because there was minimal retention of key people to make it so.

I know a lot of people aren't concerned. And I'm not sure why. Perhaps when we get to the point where we have no more cash in the bank and have to turn to borrowing... maybe that will be the point where people wonder.

If the owners continue to run the club in the way they are currently doing, then mark my words we will be in the same position as Southend United FC are currently in (21st place on Conference). Worrying times

Seeing as my day starts with a school run followed by a Zoom meeting with a team of trainees, it would probably get me fired, my kid taken into care, or possibly even arrested.

I'm not sure I'd go that far. But I do believe the club is drifting and largely being left to those who care about it to go above and beyond.

I can't say I've seen a successful business have such high turnover of key personnel. That's outside of football, obviously. But good companies don't let their key people walk out of the door en masse every 8-12 months, 24 months if you're lucky.

It's simply not sustainable. It's unbelievably difficult to retain knowledge and conduct relatively rare processes, especially in small businesses who don't tend to operate on systems and documented processes anyway, when you've such volatility. Volatility breeds volatility. Even when its not encouraged, and thats where we are.

A business where the owners encourage regular upheaval. Some might call that crazy.
