Rent was £150,000 in the last accounts. Ridiculously cheap in the modern era. Of course the council tax payers should expect a return on their investment.
I sit there. I'd wager there's about 15 or 20 ST Holders in that block - although it's the same faces for the last few years, so I wouldn't think they've sold any new ST's there.
The inspections took place on the 21st September , they are saying the infrastructure is safe , but remedial work needs doing ,but what does that mean . It’s a bit like a Landlord saying the cooker I bought second hand 17 yrs is ok to use but you should get a new one , it should have been replaced 10 yrs ago but my mate was tenant then and he would have asked me to go halves
Your guess is as good as mine but if the owners thought the stand was unsafe and needed work doing and were unhappy don't sell the season tickets then, and by the looks of the contract its the owners responsibility. Abit of clarity would be good from the owners right now I know the last owner would have cleared things up by now.
We have a set of owners who are fully used to being at loggerheads with its fanbase. They won’t care what upset this is causing.
clears that up. I was just going when we let out our house in Scotland....did not know it was different.
Just saying you can't look at it as just one side getting an amazing deal, without also thinking the other side are as well. Same as it's difficult to see one side being at fault, without also recognising the other. As always with these kind of things, I'm going to imagine the truth falls somewhere in the middle.
Club said it would be closed for remedial work. Just didn’t specify a timescale. I can’t see what all the fuss is abart..?
he was always transparent with the fans in good or bad times. Like I said it was in the contract the ground maintenance is down to the owners.
As they should. It’s there business that impacts the infrastructure.. It’s not a residential property..
And you think they will stump up 20 million plus to build a new stadium? In that case I have a bridge to sell you.
a commercial lease would mean you have to return the property in the condition you received it. So eventually they will have to as a minimum repair it.
Looks like it was planned to happen today, but their saboteur seems to have confused Barnsley with Andorra.
Be interesting to see if they'll also close the Ponty End and East Stand should they also require a similar level of remedial works in time, i would imagine not.
