Really , I didn’t know that I’ve tried a couple of times over the last few years and been told that season tickets are not available for that block
Does one party want to demolish the stand and build a new one, whilst the other party does not? One party owns the stand and land on which it is built and the other does not and they can't agree?????? Or something like that. Why would one party not want to improve the facility by building a new stand???? It has got to be more than nostaglia. Come on, chaps, get your heads together, please!!
That's interesting. When there's a big away following (if only), they shut that area and don't sell tickets. They only let season ticket holders in and you have to show your ticket to a steward to check that it's you and they have your name on a list. Which always amuses me, because there's about twenty of us aged between 35-80 (including Ian McMillan) who are obviously dying to start a load of trouble.
If the Council and Crynes were serious about BFC being a vital asset to the Community and safeguarding the stadium for the future they would forget about selling it and getting into costly legal spats with the Football club and invest in a new stand and ground refurbishment renegotiating the rent at the same time
I’ve always wondered about that to be honest We sit in the block next to the end and wanted to move to the back row but none were available so I asked about the end block and was told that no season tickets were sold for that section
This appears to be the next step of the plan for our owners. The club alone is not worth enough to our owners without the ground. I dont expect them to stay on just player values and a few pies alone. If we were gambling with foriegn owners then we need Lee and Conway to own the lot otherwise they will be off. If they decide to go get ready for a big fire sale of players and they would just shut the club or sell it on for what they can get, leaving us a council / crynre owned delapidated ground and no players. If you want to know why Schopp is still here its obvious because the owners are at a point where they are not going to tip out any mor money until the ground is theirs. I dont blame them either, could be dark times coming shortly if this ground ownership isnt sorted soon.
The owners have no inclination to put any of their own money into anything. The ground for the millionth time is not dilapidated. If they owned the stadium I doubt they'd do anything to it, we haven't even got a working scoreboard!
Wouldn't it be funny if the entire West stand folk made their protest known by simply walking across the pitch at the next home game and attempted to take up their own seats in the west stand...if the stewards blocked them on the east stand side then the Comedy value would continue when the pontey end formed a pincer movement and invaded the stand for them lol ....lol
I think you make a few good points there. At the moment I am personally so disillusioned I'd welcome a council/Cryne run club and the total collapse in status, player quality and league standing that would entail. I'm that disillusioned.
I think it is just a cost cutting exercise so less stewards are needed. And I keep hearing rumours that blunts are getting more tickets so are west stand stewards going to away end so they can grab more money. It gets less like Barnsley fc every day
Standard practice with commercial rental agreements / leases some property owners inspect as often as yearly and will give the tenants a list of works they require doing to keep the property up to the required state
Having read the post about blunts getting more tickets and the west stand stewards being deployed to the North stand....it wouldn't surprise me to see the headline after the game....After careful consideration we apologise to our west stand customers and have decided to re open it ...to show our appreciation we offer you a free half time cup of bovril
That might take some time, some blokes are nearly as old as the stand. Which raises a point. Wherever people have to sit, it has to be accessible..
