Went down this morning qued for 15mins for a Blades ticket Got to front Sorry we aint selling them till next week till we sort West stand ST holders out Why not put something on websire saying home tickets unavailable now till next week Its not me having a go as a dont mind but if others come from a bit further to be turned away i doubt they will be happy
To be fair, you can see what tickets are onsale online. You can also buy them without having to travel to the club
Yes true mate aint having a go as Box Office staff do a amazing job never had a bad word about them. I just popped in while i was passing thats all
By the way, how many were asking for West Stand refunds? Someone told me 2/3. Not sure how they knew this though.
I’ve been down on my work dinner to sort my West Stand season ticket out. There was a guy in front of me who was queueing for Sheff United tickets and I told him I don’t think they’re selling them now but he carried on waiting. He was in the box office all of 5 seconds. Got our season tickets on row K in East Lower. But for Sheff United we’re on row E and Derby we’re on H... Just let us back in the West Stand already.
If i get someone i dont like relocating next to me can i have a refund? Is there any news about when the box office will handle ‘awkward people’ like me?
Lucky you, i can't get to the ground and nobody's answering the phone. They'll be nothing worth having by the time i get to speak to anyone. The refund request is becoming more tempting.
I was on the phone, on hold, this morning for 15 minutes and then the line cut off. Great. They also haven’t replied to my email that I sent last night yet. I only enquired about the East Stand but it seemed slim pickings already at this stage. We did want 3 seats together mind. All of this situation is a load of *****.
Yeah, i get cut off after 5 minutes which is incredibly handy for those who live and work elsewhere. Quick bit of maths - east stand 7492 seats and the ponty end is 4508 seats so that's exactly 12,000 in total minus a couple of hundred seats in the ESL near the away end. I believe we've sold over 10k season tickets so that doesn't leave much room to fit us all in or many decent seats. Wouldn't be surprised if the club get to a situation where there isn't actually enough room to move everyone. Especially as they have already been selling tickets for the Sheff Utd game and seem to want to put the tickets back on general sale on Tuesday when there is no way on earth all the west stand people will have been sorted out.
Wouldn’t surprise me. Now that it’s come out that the stand is safe, may as well just let us all back in there.
I've been trying all day every time I get hold music for 5 mins then get cut off of course its dead easy for me to pop down to the club what with living only 200 miles away and all that Looks like I am going to have to send my 87 year old Dad down to the club to sort us out as clearly the box office have been dealing with the people quing outside rather than leaving them there and answering the phone I am assuming as we already started selling Blunts tickets even the best remaining ones have already gone before those in the West that are moving got a pick
I dont know if over half the West stand are sticking a middle finger to the club and asking for their money back that solves the problem
Very much so. We needed/wanted 3 together and the only places in the east stand like that are in the 2 end gangways (I.e both corner flags). We aren’t even sat in our “season ticket” seats for Sheff U or Derby.
So by the time I get through or send my Dad ( who has up till now sat in the same seat with a great view for 25 years ) to treck into the club to sort out a problem entirely due to the greed of the clubs directors we are going to be dumped in a sh*t seat looking across at the corner flag and probably out in the open - im getting more and more angry as time passes not to mention Ive been trying to phone the box office all day - because I have loads of time for that and getting absolutely nowhere to say I am fuming is an understatement
It’s looking that way. Extremely poor. With the safety report coming out this morning as well, it’s not a good look for the owners. We need some answers.
That's me I'm out. I've got a brilliant seat in the West stand on the back row with nobody behind me , I've had it for more years than I can remember. I don't want to move and I'm not. This safety issue is nonesense. It's just politics between the Cryne family and the foreign owners . If the stand is unsafe why wasn't it surveyed and rectified during the pandemic when nobody was in the ground for 12 months?.its ******** and I've had enough.
Im feeling similar - Ive got a brilliant seat in the West stand at the front so no one standing up in front of me great view of the pitch My dad has had his for 25 years Ive had mine a few years less but still well into double figures The stand isnt unsafe that just smoke and mirrors - the club never actually said it was just implied it its shafting over 1000 loyal supporters because they cant organise stewards and are losing away revenue its that simple
I have to totally agree with all these sentiments. We are being totally treated like figures on a chess board here! I too have a seat on the back row of the West Stand Lower where we moved to about 10 years ago due to its accessibility for my father. It’s not about a structure (well it is) but about communities too! The West Stand at one time was the only seating we had and some supporters have sat in those seats all their lives. They have made match-day friends which surpass Directors, Managers, Teams etc which have all come and gone! They are the most loyal supporters of BFC. You now treat us/ them like **** and folk without intelligence! I rest my case, but my relationship with the club I have supported home and away over 60 years is finished.
