The row I'm on and the ones in front there are always rows with 4 unoccupied together - Block 1 of east stand upper. Maybe people in West Stand have already taken them?
You are right Jimmy, I think what really hurts me is that after 60 years of watching the reds to be shunted from arguably one of the best views in the ground to a seat near the front by the corner flag or do what the op has done & call it a day is really heart breaking, I don"t want to pack in as I love the club & am clinging to the hope that they might do a u turn but what really sticks in my throat is that we all stumped up our season ticket money last season when we were not allowed in with a view to hanging on to my seat which I did not want to lose & as well as me my two grandsons also paid out last season for the same reasons, it would appear the club have short memories , oh so sad.
This whole business is shocking. Completely and utterly shocking....and sad, as you've said. As many on here have also said, the three parties involved need their heads knocking together. It's unacceptable that supporters such as you are having to be inconvenienced in this way. Whether it's the Football Club, the Crynes or The Council or all three parties, fans such as yourself deserve far better treatment than you are receiving currently. There's a strong case to be made to give you a total refund plus a choice of a seat anywhere in the ground for this season plus a free season ticket for next season. Sometimes in our group (east stand upper) one or two of us can't make it. Myself and all the other lads in our group would be more than happy to let you use our tickets if we can't attend any future games. PM me if you want to take up the offer.
That's crap, and I refuse to believe there aren't 4 available seats somewhere in the east stand upper. Maybe you could take a refund and then get tickets in the east stand upper if/when half season tickets go on sale? Completely understand if you'd just prefer to walk away in the circumstances though, it's poor from the club.
This in spades. The real ‘crime’ in this is the long term effect on future fans(including existing ones). Genuine question to those who have spoken to the club, I presume if by some miracle the stand was reopened before end of season those who choose to move could opt back, but those who refund could you buy back pro rata? Appreciate it looks unlikely this happening, just wondering if anyone has asked?
We were told if we moved we could have our old seats back if the stand reopened it didn’t say if you opted for a refund but it would be massively stupid for the club not to offer that. So they probably won’t It’s probably irrelevant though as I don’t see the stand reopening anytime soon
the fans should boycott all home games till further notice. No this not a knee jerk reaction, but it's the only way the fans point can be made.
Thank you for the offer 55 that's really kind of you. That's the community spirit that I was referring to earlier . It's not really about the money , it's about being treated with respect and being told the truth.
Quite possibly what's happened. It's actually pitted the West Standers against each other in a fight for decent seats.
It's "fans" like you that let the likes of the Oystons and Steve Dale's of this world **** clubs over. Without the likes of @PLOBBY and others on here, you may not have a club to support in the future so I'd be a bit more respectful.
I always stood/ sat in the West Stand lower nearest North Stand , last got a ticket there for the Chelsea FACup win , I’ll probably go back if a new stand is built but I doubt that’s on the cards any year soon
You think you're being all loyal to your club and the better fan but you are not being loyal to it at all. You're just being loyal to the owners.
Another refunded one here, along with my brother, we were offered poor seats, a total of 94 seasons between us. Hope the couple of thousand extra £36 tickets they sell to Sheffield United fans are worth the ill will they’ve created.
I don’t think I’m more loyal or a better fan but I know for a fact there was none of this board bashing last year.I’m not saying things are right at the moment but if the people who are not satisfied hate Conway and co that much join the queue of buyers
Why would there be board bashing last year? Have you been hiding under a rock for the past few days? It's almost as though the club has tried to imply the West Stand is unsafe and turfed 1,000 loyal longstanding fans out of seats (some with worse views) midway into the season, only to be called out on this by the landlord as being nonsense and safe. I mean, I don't know about you but I reckon people should kick off when they're being mistreated and be quiet when they're not? It's a bit like turning round to someone who's upset they've been cheated on and saying to them, "why weren't you slagging him off when he was doing absolutely nothing wrong last year?!?!" That is literally your logic here!!! I honestly don't know what planet you're on. You've proved that people aren't vocal when things are fine but are when they are not, which is totally understandable and not with an axe to grind. Weird. And you absolutely do think you're a better fan than those wanting a refund as you have demonstrated in this thread so that is a lie.
