SINGLE MATCH TICKETS REMAIN OFF SALE Ticket News Until supporters affected by the closure of the West Stand have been relocated to an alternative seat, single match tickets in home areas will not be on general sale. Continue reading on the official site...
Am I being a bit thick or does it mean If someone wanted to go to our next match they can’t unless All west stand supporters have been refunded or relocated? how longs that gonna take, how much money will the club lose if it’s not soon
Ironically, this means that the only people currently able to buy match tickets are those in the ballot process for Sheff Utd's increased away allocation, which miraculously was made possible by the West Stand evictions.
It sounds like it doesn’t it? What if one person has died and no one let the club know so they’ll never change their seat or get a refund? Will single match tickets be off sale for the whole season? What about people with flexi tickets who didn’t take the previous refund and were promised two seasons to use them over but now they can’t use them for the foreseeable? We’re going to be in the stupid position of having home fans sneaking into the away end for games!
So we shut the west stand when it was still safe to use and now were not selling tickets in other areas great business idea
Panic mode and fire fighting. They shut the stand and get the backlash from west stand ticket holders, so quickly first thing comes to mind is not sell any tickets until they’re sorted. Problem is they’re now alienating pay on day. it’s not been thought through very well this has it.
Two things club will have to do..... 1) Extend by an extra season the use of flexi tickets as there will not be the space to put people. 2) Make all away followings to Oakwell all ticket where you have to be on the database of the club we are playing to stop our fans paying on the day to sit in the north stand.
They will have to segregate the north stand I expect. Probably best not to do it for the greasy chip butty game, but I don't see why they can't for ordinary games against the likes of Reading, Bristol City, Peterborough etc.
As a supporter for 60+ seasons it saddens and sickens me to see my beloved club lurching from one shambles to another, due purely to inept and incompetent stewardship. I was tempted to say the club is a joke. But its not remotely funny.
