Interesting answer when asked whyCauley Woodrow takes all the free kicks and corners. I wonder with a full squad how we would line up and if we would be in a much better position points wise. With Anderson,Benson, Morris, Kitchin, Styles, Oulare fully fit and playing regularly surely we would be scoring goals and picking up points. Schopps questioning of Palmers ability to perform no longer than 70 mins also is a cause for concern. I got the impression that Schopp is now starting to feel the pressure and finding VI shoes hard to fill.

Just listened to schopps interview...whilst I appreciate English isn't his native language and its hard to reply at times when you are put on the spot but
What a load of bo11.ocks he spouts the poor man is totally out of his depth
I'm starting to feel sorry for him if I'm honest bet away from football he's a nice bloke I'm starting to think
Conway and Co have hung him out to dry to deflect from their own failings

He's prob a half decent manager. Sold a reyt pup wi us. Best striker gone, best cm and skipper gone. Half backroom staff gone. Do we honestly think Val would have done much better? Might have the odd point here or there.
Fupping Conman has ruined us this summer.

What was the answer to Woodrow taking the free kicks?

If the answer was so interesting, perhaps you could enlighten me? Thanks.

I think Val would have done better because he would have pushed Conway for the tools to do his job. Plus at WBA (not sure about at Barnsley) he works very long days and is very driven to succeed. Don't think we'd be pushing for the play offs though, but I think we'd have got the draw yesterday for eg. because he'd have swapped the tired players and been on the teams back to keep alert etc .

You can hold Conway and the board responsible for quite a few things but Dike and Mowatt leaving aren't among them.

He said because Woodrow was captain , he wanted to do everything to help the team , and with benson missing he was best option

Absolutely true. But he is responsible for replacing them adequately.

Agreed. We were never going to replace like for like quality on our budget though. Or were unlikely to. The cold hard facts of our club, run within budget, is that success will be cyclical. We cant afford to go out and buy top end Championship performers to keep progress smooth.
This season should have been a mid table effort. Sadly it isn't.

I'm not so sure it should have been mid table, taking into account the players who were recruited to fill those spots and also the injuries that we've had.

I suppose that we'll only find out if and when Schopp leaves, because something has to give. Whatever explanations are offered regarding the season, the fact is that we are 22nd in the table after almost a quarter of the season. This needs to change as soon as possible - whether its a personnel change, a formation change or an influx of fit players.

    Summats got to give.

He's our skipper he leads form the front..
Plus with Benson not playing there's no one else with enough quality to take anything...
    Which is sad, but true..

If Schopp does go who is going to takeover? This board has never been quick to find a replacement to say the least. On the injury front particularly in the case of Oulare, surely from his previous record his medical should have picked up that he has had an injury hit career . It's months since he signed and appears no further to making the first team .

If we have only 2 players with the technical ability in a squad of 20+, then perhaps the spreadsheet needs tweaking.
Other thing would add is Schopp is not the first manager to have CW taking corners

I don’t really get the issue with Woodrow taking corners. It’s not like he ever battles with defenders for headers or gets on the end of many corners when he’s in the box.

Especially when we have 3 centre backs & a bigger stronger forward in Victor who should be challenging for them.

It’s not like the daft scenario when Kane was taking them for England when he was one of our biggest threats from corners.

I don't se the big issue with Woodrow taking dead balls - lets face it that free kick was up there with the best we've seen from any of our players, including the likes of Barnard and Conor. He's not going to score a towering header from a corner, so let him take those as well.

So why was Woodrow taking them when Benson was playing?

Seems like a complete ******** answer to me and shows incompetence as manager
