He has clearly lost the dressing room. Brittain's interview the other week conformed that when he said they weren't spending enough time on the training ground.
These are the players who would have been worth millions at the end of last season. Now virtually worthless bar Helik. Collins' value come on a bit though.
***** tonight. They were rubbish and a proper team would’ve beaten us by more. For the game, Could’ve been ahead but then we’d have only let them score anyway. But we we’re toothless going forwards and open at the back. Manager dealt a bad hand but it seems he is playing it worse. It’s a shame as I want any manager to succeed with us but it’s seeming like a bad appointment. special mention to our “better” players though. Woodrow again was poor and looked like he couldnt control the ball. Brittain was poor again. And styles showed why he isn’t a championship centre midfielder (at least in a two). anyway. Onto our inevitable defeat on Sunday before he is sacked!
Poor performance not Altrincham or Bromsgrove in the cup bad but not far off being as bad as a Lee Johnson side at their worst.
Just home. Played beautiful flowing football in the first 8 mins, Odour, our free flowing left back turned striker missed a sitter & we still pushed on. Boro scored from yet another free unmarked header where 3 players stood & watched him. from that point it turned to dog ****, we were unorganised, unruly & downright rubbish. how we didn’t lose 5-0 is a mystery. For all these on here saying we had chances to win 4-0 are talking nonsense. Our manager couldn’t run a bath, he’s clueless & how folk can say we can win 4-0 when we haven’t scored in open play for 9 matches, is wearing more than rose tinted glasses!!! It’s a mess, one that this bloke isn’t up for solving. If he stays we are 100% going to get nothing from the next 5 to even 10 games. admittedly, the next manager may fair the same, but I think he could play a formation that suits, with players in natural positions & get good players last season playing rubbish this season, to turn up & improve. Just a thought. How the powers that be don’t see it, is honestly beyond me.
Did we create any chances? Thought we fluffed a couple that were gifted to us by their mistakes but don’t recall us creating anything
Day after day, day after day, We stuck, nor breath nor motion; As idle as a painted ship Upon a painted ocean. Water, water, every where, And all the boards did shrink; Water, water, every where, Nor any Schopp to drink.
I certainly wouldn't drop Helik. He was more error prone tonight but overall he's kept us in a lot of games too.
Altrincham would have beaten us tonight performance wise awful. Johnson and wilsons 2nd spell last time I saw anything as bad performance wise.
I don't think people are having a go they just expect better from players like helik styles woodrow brittain. As for moon he isn't good enough and why he keeps getting picked I don't know.
No body knows his system he's not trying to play anything like val. Vals wanted to play football in the opposing half schopp seems to want us to have pointless possesion in our own half, trying to play out from the back at every opportunity even though we are not good enough, passing back to Collins constantly. Woodrows 35 yard back pass that would have been a own goal if it had been on target summed the night up.
Who would you play instead of Moon? I'm not disagreeing that he's not quite up to the championship yet, but considering we had a 20 year old midfielder making his championship debut at centre half last night, I don't think we've many other options at present.
He's started before sibbick previously which i don't agree with. Where was sibbick last night not heard anything of a injury, where was Cole?
