I think he's got the mystery injury Oulare is recovering from. Once the appearance bonuses can't be triggered to Burnley he'll be playing again.
I highly doubt this. Might be an Austrian coach thing cos Struber wasn't keen on giving him a chance either.
I know Austrian's are very rigid at what they do. If someone adlibs in anyway they don't like it. Styles v Birmingham under Struber springs to mind. To me he looked the best of a bad bunch running at the Birmingham defence and having attempts at goal. To Struber he was a maverick being pulled out of position. He was hauled off at half-time.
I feel like Brittain could benefit from some ruthless 1 on 1 with you in the gym. You could build him up by first tearing him apart. You could be the Mickey to his Rocky
So much raw talent let down by having no boll ocks. I actually like the player. I just think the things he's most crap at effect the outcome of football matches the most. Crossing, shooting and missing absolute howling sitters. That can all be worked on.
If that is indeed the case - and I understand it's a theory - then he should fook off out of the club, because the club is bigger than Schopp. When he pulls on the red shirt he's playing for the club, the town, and the fans that pay and travel up and down the country to watch. I'm tired of this 'they don't want to play for him'. I understand they are human and maybe they don't get Schopp's methods, but they're privileged, they get paid a small fortune to kick a bag of wind about, and they have the unwavering backing of a whole town behind them, week in week out. They are also accountable for the sh1tshow on the pitch.
Much as I dislike having Schopp as coach I must say that the conspiratorial abuse he's getting over Sibbick is not on. It is perfectly feasible that Sibbick has done something inappropriate and if so he should be disciplined. Simple. It's irrelevant what one thinks of the manager in that context. Schopp may be a bad apple in the dressing room and the players may not like him - I have no evidence for either - but again if Sibbick has been ill disciplined then we should accept it as a fact and genuine until we know otherwise. To lambast Schopp on this without facts is simply stoking fire because of dislike of the manager.
I was thinking the same. He frustrates me as I can see there's a player in there. He should be scoring goals and getting more assists as he gets into match winning positions. He's decent because he gets into these positions but "always" fluffs his lines at the worst possible moment. It can't be a confidence thing because he was doing it last season for us as well. Whilst the team was on the crest of a wave. He's like Luke Thomas. He used to dribble round a couple or inject a bit of pace that would catch defenders off guard. Get to the edge of the 18 yard box and trip over his own feet and lose the ball. He never made his mind up to cross or shoot. If he did he'd be a world beater.
Late for training had a tipple night before a game, he was at Lincoln/Wombledon game I read on here could be having a catch up with old team mates. Could be owt, but the coach must have discipline amongst his players.
I was referring to @JLWBigLil's Goodfellas reference Thing with Brittain is I'm sure last year he would often beat a man and whip good balls into the box. This season, he can't seem to do it. On Wednesday i think it was definitely a confidence thing as everything he did went to **** and nothing came off for him. He looked increasingly frustrated, caught out and lost. I seriously felt for him Wednesday night as his face couldn't hide the disappointment or lack of confidence. There is definitely a player there, but he shouldn't be a shoo-in for an automatic spot, i personally think he needs dropping and a few games out. Pressure is too much for him i think.
Regardless of what sibbicks done should he be once again hanging players out to dry by putting it out into the press....it now creates further speculation...his man management skills are totally sh.1te in my opinion... Is there any wonder rumours of players not been happy are flying about left right and centre....full steam ahead boys it's open season...once again the rudderless ship of ours is heading for the rocks and there doesn't seem to be a lighthouse keeper in sight .....
SD has spent months blaming Callum Brittain for absolutely everything, with the exception of Covid. Yet today he's suddenly claims he likes him!
The key for me is there may be ins and outs but these players were perfectly confident under Val and had no ‘disciplinary issues’ and I can’t imagine that Val took any ****. A sign of a weak manager blaming others destroying confidence and dropping people rather than having a discussion. He needs to go. I’m almost at the point where I don’t care if we win or lose on Sunday.
Whatever it was wasn't serious enough to rule him out in Sunday. Really don't think it should be in the public domain. Poor man management imo.
That was me said that he was at Lincoln game - a couple of mates at work are Wimbledon fans & one used to work for the club so is a reliable source.
