Cryne apparently is of the same opinion as the rest with regards to player value v on field success so be careful what you wish for.

I think when emotions run high we all, as supporters, take things very black and white, but yes he did say that a better style of football allows for players to increase their value. Someone shared it on here last night?

He says it then we changed style coincidence? Or is he part of the decision to ditch on field success in the mistaken belief that playing pretty football every week but losing will bring in bids for players

Be honest with me though. What Head Coach out there do you hire to continue the style that Val deployed? I don't know a single successful team playing that kind of football, so the only way to keep continuity is to keep your Head Coach. It was so unique which is why I always found it so fascinating and exciting to watch even when others didn't.

We were always going to play a different style of football this season once Val left. I'm surprised though that we recruited someone who's so vastly different or have tried to change so much. I also don't see where the CEO has said that we want to ditch on field success just to sell players?

But that doesn't mean he necessarily agrees even when it leads to a serious decline in results.
Even the CEO himself did grudgingly admit at one point that we may have changed too much too soon.

He said they have changed style to try to increase player value that's caused the problem but they aren't going to do anything to try it change it back to improve on field performance.

You didn't answer my question though, either on continuation from Big Val or where the CEO actually said we ditched success to increase value.

You can't just revert/change back when you don't have the same coach.

Sounds right to me though. I think some fans are blind to that.

A silky smooth and passing team who win the league, will always be valued more, than a hoof-ball team who win the league.

Like Wenger V Allardyce. Nothing wrong with either style, but clear to see one will increase player value more than the other.

He doesn't need to say it they've done it!!! the evidence is on public view just look at the championship table and the proof Schopp isn't already back in Austria confirms it. On field success as been ditched in favour of player profit. As for where they'd find another coach like Val from they didn't look for one did they if they had they might have. They looked at last season and the fact they only sold 1 player and the head coach when they were hoping to sell many more and they've decided that's not what they want from the club. It's a cash cow for them nothing more nothing less.

But we are nowhere near winning the league after the change are we.
