Apparently a bloke posted on tykes talk saying he spoke to conway at the ground today before the game. Conway told him schopp is here for the forceable and that he sympathises with the injuries he has had.

Don't get your hopes up he's going, stendel got sacked for less then this, players snubbing him, clearly lost the dressing room, home fans with season tickets not turning up to a local Derby. Absolute joke if he isn't sacked. Your ruining our club conway.

    From Tykes Talk......

"Paul Conway walks past me every match around 30minutes before kick off and today I just couldn't allow it without asking questions .
Nice guy very honest in his answers but unfortunately for everyone the answers were not what we would want. Schopp will be here for the foreseeable although nothing is ever ruled out .
He did explain if schopp went it would need to be an upgrade and that at the moment they cannot realistically find anyone of the calibre that would be willing to come in on our budget , work with young players and have zero say in transfers .
When questioned about our change in play why we have lost the high intensity pressing he blamed the change in 5 to 3 subs as to why the style has changed. He said we have too many 60 minute players and with only 3 subs it makes it had to play that way.
Worst thing was he actually sympathised with schopp due to injuries , when I mentioned I have never known such mass crowd all wanting schopp to get chopped and the fact fans are now turning against the board ect he understood but said it is something as owners we just have to deal with.
Long story short I cannot see schopp getting booted yet but they are always looking for options from abroad"

He’s not going to say anything different though is he?

Fans need to remember that senior club employees, or owners, only tell you what you potentially want to hear or what tows the right line for the moment.

It's funny, because when he says things like "best transfer window ever" no one believes him.
When he says "Schopp is here for the foreseeable" it's gospel.
It's a horrible place to be at the minute, fans attacking fans, the players, the club.

Well I hope your right, as you know I thought he was out of his depth a while back the performances, lack of goals, lack of chances, strange team selections, strange substitutions, losing the dressing room. Has to go this week for me.

He's said "nothing is ever ruled out" so anything could still happen.

I doubt he would be discussing truthfully high level recruitment with fans off the cuff. He gave the answers I would give in his position. Wouldn’t mean they were exactly true or exactly false.

    I h
I have sympathy with the guy regarding the injuries too, and sympathy with the recruitment that was out of his hands, however in my opinion he should still be getting much more out of the group he’s got. Basic organisation would improve them, also the rumblings from players can’t be ignored, Conway needs to look at this too.

The players are unorganized and not fit....bringing messi and salah in would actually make them worse players in this set up.
He is not a good coach....vertually anyone would be better....the sacking pay off is con-his-way's biggest hurdle.

Hmmm. Agreed on the sympathy with injuries but the team selection and tactics are his. I hate seeing managers sacked but I can’t see how there is any other solution. I thought we always had the next manager lined up? There must be an upgrade on 6 straight defeats surely?

Given Conway's previous relationship with honesty I reckon Schopps a goner before the sun goes down. :D:D:D:D

I'm calling ******** on the whole conversation tbh.....he also goes on to post.......

"my opinion on that is we got about 3-4m compo for last 2 so use that today he did say the average championship manager gets 800k a year ours get no where near that hence why we cannot attract anyone UK based and why we have to dip abroad"

So Conway's telling some randomer how much we pay the manager.

Maybe Schopp's got a relegation clause? Save a penny Conman strikes again. He does like a good clause Conman.

How long did they chat for 20 minutes? Seems quite an in depth Q and A from a random 30 mins before a match

Conway is probably a better businessman than me, without a doubt. But I have forgotten more about English football than he will ever know.

I can't take the guy seriously with his football comments and I want him away as much as I do Schopp.

Might depend on your definition of a businessman.
