Schopp HAS to be sacked. It's negligence from the owners if he isn't. We will get relegated if this goes on.
Surely if the board were going to sack him, they would have done it straight after the game. They sacked Morais within about half an hour of the final whistle. The sacked Stendel boarding the coach home from Preston. Given the mood music from our... and I use this word as its his title and nothing more, CEO... I'd suggest they are going to stick with him still.
They've more or less said they aren't bothered and he WONT get the sack for a good while yet no doubt.
It's the fans who are suffering here ( in football terms ) and the players by the look/sound of it ,absolutely crazy!!!!!!
Will he go today? No. They just put out his post match interview, why would they do that then sack him? Unfortunately it looks as though those two golazos yesterday have saved his bacon.
I think the performance of the players from just before they went 3-0 down was the best performance since the 2-2 with QPR and that is what will keep Schopp in the job. The problem is the board will think this is possible form the start against Bristol City.
https://www.barnsleychronicle.com/article/21672/five-talking-points-from-blades-loss "As of Monday morning, Markus Schopp is expected to lead the players in training this week and take charge of Saturday's match at Bristol City." Absolute disgrace. Wonder how many players have been in contact with their agents to find them a way away from this sorry mess.
He'll stop until the international break at least. The 2 goals papered over the grand canyon. It's not so much a crack anymore is it.
Schopp will not be sacked today. I have my own sources (me) and I can categorically state that the pain will continue for the foreseeable future. Talking of pain I wonder if the board have a sado-masochistic streak and are enjoying all of this....
But... why? Are we too skint to sack him? Or does Conway feel bad for the situation he joined in? The longer it goes on, the less chance we have of staying up. I watched the Hull game on Saturday - they're bad too, but they're much better than us! They'll get points at some point.
Another winnable game against Bristol city down the drain by looks. We will be in a right hole by time he is sacked
I suspect that Conway and Schopp are placing all our hopes on Anderson and Morris turning the season around. They would be a big help but can’t see them getting fit and turning us into world beaters. He’s not good enough. The longer we leave it the more inevitable relegation appears
Maybe that's the boards new plan. Having "not received any offers", what better way than to get players to start nudging their agents for a move......
