Actually that’s correct, although it’s dropped off the itinerary recently due to an accident in the 5* hotel, where a bit of Pooh got on the Egyptian Cotton duvet. This in turn created argument between me and the wife about who had dropped a Malteser in the sheets. The holiday was royally ruined after that.
jeez just googled it, it is a thing and it’s worse than my idea, the mans a fking deviant even knowing that !
(Had to google where that was) Thanks for that. So far we've been venturing to Wales, for numerous reasons, that its an area we'd never really explored, it's not that far from London (well, the southern parts) and its pretty easy to get off the beaten track... and there are greater protections indoors. The north, I've not really ventured around a great deal. I went to the lakes once a long time back and got conned into driving on wrynose pass, never again! But northumberland and even in to Scotland, we've just never done. We've spoken about it, but the drive from London would be big one, so I'm not too sure how we'd do it at the minute (but that's another story). I have raised it a few times, so if things stay as they are for us and flights are sadly no longer viable, I think we'll manage it at some point.
I was looking up at the stars t’other day and thinking to myself I must get that hole in my roof fixed.

At least you weren't lied under some rubble looking at them through the hole in the West Stand wall .
I love Northumberland, stopped in Craster a couple of times, beaches up there are unreal and there are castles every 5 miles. But yeah, it's a fair old yomp from London though.
I think the next place we're due is Porthleven in Cornwall in February... which hopefully should be very quiet, though not sure what the weather might be like, and a little while after in April I think we're somewhere in Suffolk... just to mix things up. I can't even begin to tell you how much I'm missing European city breaks!
It is yeah, the one next to the kipper smokehouse. The pub across the way is good too, decent beer and good pub grub looking out over the North sea.
We dodged that one! I wasn't a huge fan of Hamburg to be honest, I mean we had a good time, but there are plenty more places we'd rather see, or go back to instead. It had a few decent things and the town hall and some of the older buildings were quite grand, and the old dock warehouses quite impressive, but it felt too big. We'd initially spent a few nights in Lubeck which had quite a magical feel to it. And although Hamburg had some huge christmas markets and we found a delicious flammlachs stall, it just felt a bit too big.
