    If true then it was also an appalling decision to give Woodrow the captaincy. Sack Schopp and strip Woodrow of the captaincy immediately. It seems like Collins is the only one with a backbone and who dare day something.

    I’m not sure which bit of what was posted seems unbelievable- it all rings true with what’s been said before and what we’re seeing with our own eyes. If you want verifiable facts I was going to say stick to reading newsbot, but then again if you believe everything coming out of the official club “news” then you’re even more naive.

    I don’t know the veracity of this but know that the OP provided pretty solid information in the past.

    What I do know is that football clubs are places of a thousand leaks. Players and staff have family and friends and information seeps out.

    In the dim and distant when I knew a few Oakwell folks anything I learned I kept to myself but I was often told similar things from different sources. I doubt whether they have the time or inclination to conduct a witch-hunt and doubt they could pinpoint information/ rumours even if they wanted to.

    Like everything else on a forum such as this one reads, absorbs, compares with other snippets and uses one's intelligence to build a picture. Without jumping to ludicrous conclusions it does at least appear that the team is not being set up properly for each game. Even that conclusion may be wrong of course but to my limited intelligence it does look that way. No doubt there will be further 'Information' in due course.

    Same here My inside contacts with the club are gone now but the info @Goldthorpe-Red put in the OP is almost certainly true. For a start Brittain and Cole have pretty much said the stuff about training in public anyway - the takeover part is harder to be sure of but historically his info has been very reliable.
    Much as I would trust Whitey to be generally honest I am in the sad position now of not being confident in the accuracy of some of the official communications from the club.

    Just on the takeover part...

    OGC Nice was bought by ConLee (80% stake) for 20m Euros and the rumoured sale price was 95-100m Euros about 3-4 years later.

    I'm not saying they would push for a 5x return on investment at Barnsley, but they will want to be paid over the odds. I'd suspect you're talking a minimum of £25m before they were wiling to listen and negotiate.

    If the board don't want to pay out compensation then why not get someone with championship experience who knows the club to come in and help Schopp such as Redfearn, Bobby, Dale tong ? Probably a plaster for a broken arm but might just give the players a lift and a fairly cheap roll of the dice for the club.

    Easily done. Me and Laura were on a night out in Sheffield when Barnsley beat Leeds in 2017. We were sat next to Heckingbottom's wife's friend in Walkabout. She didn't say anything revealing (because we didn't care or ask her) but she could jabba for England.

    I think we need this. One thing that seems to be a common denominator in past players is that they like the club. With so many personnel going like Sedgy it feels like some of the " feel' of the place may be going too. We need a new Rimmo, someone who the fans and players respect who has a standing in the Reds community.

    Good point, I hadn't really thought about it like that, I was more thinking of someone to help Schopp with the training/tactics etc and take a bit of pressure off him because he can't see the wood for the trees at the minute. Cheap option to give the place and the players a lift.
    Stumbling along hoping things will improve is going to get us cut adrift at the bottom very very soon.
