I preferred it when titled...Official Matchday Programme. 1/6d

So the issue was really more with the switch from Oakwell Review to Be Red. Rather than linking the program name back with the club's address?

I liked Oakwell Review. Grove Street reminds me of R and B music.

I'd have stuck with having Oakwell in the title.

Sorry @DannyWilsonLovechild but I couldn't resist a little bit of mischief with your quote from earlier.

It's amazing how topical a comment it becomes on the current mood with the simple deletion of 3 words from a sentence.

Maybe, but what I don't understand is some people trying to link naming the program "Grove Street" with some plan to move away from a stadium that is on Grove Street, despite the fact that Oakwell hasn't been in the program title for a few years already.

On the market research element, sales numbers will be a far more important figure than the opinions of small group of people on a message board, which probably amounds to a number in double figures, in context of a fan base with 11,000 season ticket holders.

I've got every home programme for the Premier League season. Play off finals also and the Cup Semi final. Had a pile of other programmes from various seasons upto around 05 (which I gave away)
I doubt the change in name had any significant impact on people buying it either way.
Also think it has very little relevance, if we did move away fro Oakwell I doubt the programme name would come into the decision.

Not hard to canvas the audience for opinion given they now have a more robust database.

Given none of that was done, all we have are the opinions in this domain. You'd be surprised how little sentiment tends to change past a volume of response.

I’ve visited a few ‘micro’ breweries (not an expert, as some are). The largest do look like an ‘industrial’ process, the smallest one had a bottling process that involved capping 2 bottles at a time by hand.

Crikey that's a blast from the past! Not been called McAlpine Stadium for 17 years and had two name changes since :)

I heard that prior to the renaming of the matchday publication they approached Ben Mansford to instigate a rebrand. He then approached a Leeds based design company who came up with an A to D of crap ideas for the fans to vote on.

    (A) The Red Read
    (B) 60 Bob's Worth of Info
    (C) Grove Street
    (D) Oak Hell of a publication

But that sort of thing would never happen ......... surely ........ it couldn't .......... nah!

Absolutely nothing is wrong with me. But it’s quite tiring discussing something where no matter what is presented the other person always argues back.

All because you said nobody you know likes the name, so I said I did.

We can all be strong willed in our opinion but I don’t know anyone else who just doesn’t budge, ever.

If you want to have a discussion PM me, the BBS doesn't need to see yet another spat simply because you've decided to go personal yet again instead of having a basic disagreement.

Don’t wanna reignite a row but I like the name. I suspect football programmes have 5 years left in them before they completely digitise. I would like ours to do that due to environmental impact.
