Just done a PCR test. Waiting on the results. Already done a lateral flow & that was a very faint positive. Likely I got it last Sunday at the match, if I do have it. My brother & his wife & my nephew, who was also at the game have it. One of my brother's staff is now in Pinderfields. My brother's wife has been ill, but my brother & nephew have had no symptoms either. I've been fine all week, was only alerted last night, when my brother got back from a trip to Filey. I've walked 33 miles this week & not been out of breath. Had a few headaches, but I'd put that down to alcohol & a bit off stress re other things this week. Isolating now till I get the result.

If yer over 50 yer can book an appointment on NHS site. Over 60s in Barnsley cases are rising at the moment, doesn`t seem to be as much shouting about boosters being world leading or topping the European charts etc

I am over 60 & had my second jab 6 months ago but I am lead to believe I will be contacted & not book myself & I am not being funny but my comment is not meant to be hinting about the politics what you refer to , I was just joining in the thread to point out what is happening on a personal level .

Best wishes to your son for a quick and long lasting recovery. Also, best wishes to you and your family with all the stress and anxiety you're all suffering.

I got it on Monday (11th). By Thursday I was starting to pickup, except I lost my sense of taste and smell that day.

Unfortunately, the following Monday it morphed into something I struggle with far too often, a sinus infection, It's amazing how debilitating these are; worse than COVID. My doctor used to give me antibiotics, but now he asks me to fight through it. It makes sense, even though it is a drawn-out process, as it's best to keep antibiotics for something more important.

I went out for a few (too many) beers yesterday, First outing in 19 days, I must have forgotten about the guy who beat the hell out of me with a baseball bat on the way home. At least that's how my body feels this morning.

The good news is that I'm sure the Super Reds will cheer me up shortly. ;)
