Our front three linked up really well yesterday. They all had different roles and as an outsider looking in they all contributed to a decent performance. Woodrow dropping deeper was influencing our positive start to the game where we were unlucky to fall behind, and when he was further forward his movement and control on the ball was positive as well. Watch the highlights for the Iseka header and see how he moves from the back post to the near post taking two defenders with him. The others don't do that.

There were a couple of moments though where he either snatched at something or lost control of the ball when in a good position. But there were moments where he brought the ball down and linked others in to play. I feel like he has a footballing brain and reads the game well, at a time where we have a lot of young players on the pitch who are still learning their trade in that respect.

He wasn't brilliant last night by any stretch. But he was far from awful.

I think that falls in the "slagging off and insults" category, which I believe I've already said is wrong.

Assist for their goal what are you on about ?, I know when the knives are out people slash anywhere but there is no way that their goal can be blamed on him.

He could have been a lot stronger in the tackle. But the last person you want having to make that tackle is your #9. I'm sure Cauley knows he should have won that ball or blocked it going towards goal.

No , in my opinion it would have to be Victor, Woodrow as a player & a goal scorer is light years in front of him .

3 games in a week think forrards need rotating and all should be getting some kind of break in playing time. Whilst Woodrow hasn`t been on top form and put in some average performances I can only vaguely remember him having one stinker. Still needs to be subbed now and again like others.

I’m not having that he isn’t making effort. He is.

But nothing is working at the moment and he looks awful. He was hampered last night by the booking - it was comical in a way as he wasn’t quick enough to get the foul done to break the play up - but he still got booked anyway!

I think he needs taking out of the team. I think he may be feeling the weight of the club on his shoulders. Take him out of the firing line for a game or two, and I’d also move the captaincy as it appears to be affecting his game. He wasn’t great at the end of last season in parts but he’s been broadly terrible at times this season.

We need a proper leader - I’m not convinced we actually have one but I’d go with one of the centre backs, obviously not Kitching or Moon. So it would likely be Helik or Andersen - I’d go for Helik - the armband might add something.

Remember we started the other year with Mike Bahre as captain before switching to Mowatt. We also had Alfie Mawson as captain and switched to Hourihane whilst Alfie was still here. I think Cauley is among the best players in the squad - he will come good - but he needs taking out of the team at some point in my view, and I don’t see him as a captain.

That's not unfair RV, but you have to decide who takes his place...Cole or Frieser.

    On current form, Cole.

Like I said, I'd just let him have a couple of games on the sidelines, I honestly think it would do him good.

From what I've seen, Woodrow was very much asked to drop deeper and link play, but also had something of a free role. He appeared on the left, in our own box, and linked quite nicely with the front two at times.

He's the latest one to lambast clearly. He does whatever is asked of him, even if its to sacrifice what he's best at.

A front line of Iseka, Morris and Woodrow would be a handful. And with Cole and Adeboyejo as back up (and Oulare if he gets fully match fit), we suddenly look to have some good options.

Those advocating substituting Woodrow should note that he scores more second half goals than first half goals and of his 52 goals so far for the club, 20 have come in the last 30 minutes of games.

I stick with my previous analogy of Cauley, likening him with my 12 year old grandson, ie, he tries chasing every ball, wants to take every free kick, corner and penalty, he leaps for headers without getting his feet off the floor, wincing and whining over the physical defending of the centre backs he reverses into. So to take the positives from that, There is no question he gives 100% effort, he is enthusiastic, committed to the team, wants to be liked and the fans favourite. I question whether he is playing to order because his role hasn’t changed for the last 4 coach’s he’s played under, His best season was as an out and out striker and when he curbs his enthusiasm and uses self discipline to return to this role l think we will see the real player he is.

Maybe should come off the bench then.

I'm saying that he is NOT a player. Only because it's been quite a while since anyone felt my bumps.

I think he's our best striker since Ashley Ward, gave us some wonderful moments, loves our club, deserves to be captain and will find his scoring boots again very shortly.

Looking at the highlights he was unlucky not to score early on, directly after the nearly scored an own goal. Dropping Woodrow would be complete stupidity, and any manager / head coach that does ought to be laughed out of Oakwell.

Just saying let's not knock the player who is actually scoring goals. The header was from.close range and the keeper did well and made himself big. I don't think woodrow plays as good in a front 3 always was at his best with kieffer in a front 2

Just watched the match in full. Woodrow played as a midfielder in essence. Most of the time when we were in possession he had three and four red shirts ahead of him.
He's not going to score many playing as deep as he does and, to be honest, if he is playing that deep I think I'd rather an actual midfielder did the job.
None of that is a criticism of Woodrow but he's posing a minimal goal threat playing in that role.

Where did I knock anyone? He should have buried it and I’m sure he’d admit it himself.

We’ll never know as the ‘two era’ was in League One.

Just seemed like you were focusing on a miss from a player who has scored 3 in 3. I think cauley will be unhappy with his goal return so far this season for a player who has played every game.
