The players are good enough, it's Schopp's fault

I'm not so sure they are.

Mowatt, Dike and Morris carried us a lot last season.

Brittain, Helik, Woodrow and Styles seem to be shells of the players from last year.

Val was a genius to do what he did imo.

I’m not saying they great players but they a lot better than that today , that was non league ! In fact a non league club would have bet us today , we seem to think if we dangle a leg at the ball it’s enoug Alately

Difficult to judge when the successor carries on with the much of the same in a system that puts us at an immediate disadvantage. Having said that, the players put lots of effort in midweek, which they didn't today, and that's not acceptable.

I'm not sure why or how so many posters on here think that we've got a great squad of players - y'know, mid table at least - that are being held back by inadequate management/organisation/coaching.

Styles was pretty good today when he came on and had a good game Wednesday.

I’m not sure why we are continuing with playing 3 strikers when we don’t press and try and put teams under pressure right up top.

This tactic of playing a high line and neglecting to press is killing us - simply either the players are not following the instructions or They’re not being told how to play it.

Today was the first time I’ve questioned the effort levels. Earlier in the season I think the issues have mainly been injuries & inexperience but today we lost way too many 50-50’s.

Cauley will never be physical or win headers against big centre backs but he has to give us something when the balls on the floor. He’s got to use his body better to hold the ball up. You can’t be having defenders coming round you & clearing the ball without a battle. Even Tom Bradshaw could do it. It’s pathetic.

Kitching’s diabolical. Everything last gasp. How does he end up wrong side & out of position so often? He makes me nervous never mind his team mates. Moon’s another one. Not ready but I guess at least one of the two has to start if Anderson’s not fit enough to start.

Frustrating that we didn’t take one of them off & move Williams into the back 3 when Styles came on. Williams was excellent at bringing the ball out from the back 3 under Struber. It was exactly what we needed today when we were chasing the game.

I’ll excuse Benson he’s clearly not 100% but we need more from him after the break.

Looks like to me some of em can’t manage 2 games in week on that performance. Embarrassing really when you look at the opposition because mark my words Hull will be relegated and today they should have had 4 or 5 against us.

I thought nothing came off for Styles today; very frustrating for both us and him in particular.
