If I understand correctly, last season was not successful. Not because we missed out on promotion, but because no one wanted to buy our players.

So what are the ambitions? Are we just a breeding ground for players who have worth? Does promotion come second to value of players?

If the latter is true then why are we attending? No matter what level you are at, there must be the dream of success. It is relative of course. For a team in the Conference it’s league status. For a team in tier 8 of the pyramid it’s getting to tier 7. For me it was top half finish in Championship.

I didn’t expect promotion this season, but I certainly didn’t expect to be where we are, and what is worse, playing like we have no idea what we are doing.

I hope I’m overreacting to a bad day at the office, but can we see any hope on the horizon?

Rant over. Going to get drunk. Thanks for reading.

Buy stock for cheap, moderately increase value of stock, sell stock. Buy new cheap stock, moderately increase stock value, sell stock. Rinse and repeat

if they want to make money, why are we not pushing for the Premier League? That’s where the money is. Selling your best players is not the way to get there.

As our CEO pointed out recently, players have aspirations (and therefore want to move on to bigger clubs). We supporters, on the other hand, should clearly have no aspirations.

Because according to Conway trying to do that last season cost em £500 grand and they couldn't flog any of the players on the back to of it they ignore the fact that the got £2 million for the coach though.

Haven't you heard the comments from both the owners and the CEO regarding how disappointed they were with last season? We finished too high up the table costing the owners valuable money that they could have taken out of the club to pay off their personal debts

To be honest, I was listening to the Hull fans today chanting about wanting the Allen's out and thought this is where we are heading.

The disconnect between what the fans expect or hope for in our club and what the boards aspirations are will result, within a year or so, with a Blackpool type scenario of protests and boycotts.

The boards on pitch priorities are diametrically opposed to ours. The stadium is tired and neglected. I just dont know why they are here and am starting to feel like they are taking the **** out of me, expecting me to attend to watch a side that feels like a revolving door, knowing the club don't share my aims.

The CEO came out and suggested they dont fear relegation. Well they should, because if we go,down, combined with the suggestion that on field success is not the priority, I just dont understand the basis upon they expect us to buy a ST next year.

Protests / Boycotts looming. Our club is going down the toilet.

The problem is, people will keep giving them their money. I don't criticize anyone for that - we all know what the club means to us. But that loyalty is keeping these owners at Oakwell. There is only one language they understand.

That's why, ultimately, it will get to the boycott stage, a la Blackpool. Only way to get them out.

That's my impression too. And it explains why, despite having a season ticket, I've stopped going to Oakwell for the time being. It's not football any more.

They are private equity investors, unlike everyone on this board, no affiliation with the town or the club, the only incentive is financial gain.

They managed to buy the club for very little, they’ve made zero investment and will hope to drop lucky on player sales. As this goes on the ground and supporter base crumbles.

Nice is their success story but certainly not in the eyes of the fans.
