I know your employees read the bbs and so there is no reason that this message should not get back to me you so please could you answer the question repeatedly put to you about the three quarters of a MILLION pound that your employers have taken out of the club to pay off their debts.

After being asked about this multiple times you have had ample time to research your answer so I expect that a statement to the supporters will be forthcoming sooner rather than later.

Truly can’t understand the ethos they put out - I like financial responsibility and I don’t want to spend way way way beyond our means. But in order to accumulate you need to speculate - but speculate wisely - youth development is brilliant - but you need a spine of experience/quality otherwise your just pissing into the wind so to speak. The board clearly don’t want to talk to the fan base to back up their ethos - so it seems that are not really bothered about the negative effect the lack of consistency in terms of moving forward this method brings has on the people who love the club and will ultimately out live their tenure. Football has lost its soul

You’re right. Other than the tits and teeth they bought in Turkey, and the copious amounts of Botox and lip filler ;)

Doubt we will get an answer ....as nobody in charge gives a toss....
My 87 year old mother and step father (weststanders) walked out of the oakwell box office in tears earlier this week due to her having to ask for their money back... because the seats they were offered weren't acceptable....
As I said in an earlier thread 2 days after he shut the west stand she penned a letter addressed personally to him....she's still had no reply not even an acknowledgement ...once again little regard for life long supporters
Time these cowboys were run out of town

When is the work to 'fix' the west stand starting? By now you'd expect to see some scaffolding up or something....Instead you see people safely sat in there in the exact same seats others were told it was unsafe to sit on.

Really sad for your mum and step dad. In a similar position with my Dad our separate seats nowhere near as good as the ones we had before. Bizarrely there are more and steeper steps to the East Lower than the West Upper and our seats in row L and J (the furthest back we could get ) will not be dry in heavy rain and a west wind. Dad close to asking for his money back but will probably stick out the season but already said he not be renewing unless we get our old seats back

There were literally people sitting in mine and Dads seats today and for the Blunts game no idea about the Derby game but probably that as well

It's diabolical the way the old folk and the rest of the weststanders have been treated
Trouble is those in charge have the upper hand using health and safety as their shield....shame on them all...personally the sooner they sell up and get out of town the better for all concerned is my opinion
Best wishes to your dad...its heart breaking our parents aren't the only ones suffering but those in charge just see £$€ signs in their eyes...gone are the days when the loyal supporter was listened to .....its now about making a fast buck regardless of who's toes they stand on ....

I am firmly of the opinion, and have held it for some time, that these 'owners' are merely masquerading as successful wealthy businessmen. In no feasible scenario could any strategy devoid of any investment, and in fact, where the initial purchase has been funded using the existing business assets, be successful.

The smokescreen of claiming they are operating a 'prudent' financial management strategy contradicts the fact that investing to maintain, let alone grow, a business is not even considered by the current owners. Even taking into account football is slightly different to most businesses, their total disregard for the customer base will decimate their revenue stream ulitmately leading to the demise of BFC. They are either totally incompetent or have some ulterior motive.
(I wonder how much money could be raised from redevelopment of Oakwell and land surrounding it into housing and commercial premises if they finally got full ownesrship) .

Joking aside, I can see no reason why these supposedly successful businessmen would allow things both on and off the field to deteriorate so rapidly. Buying , developing players and selling for profit on does not even work when young players are not actually developed and their value remains static or even drops.

I genuinely have no idea what the game plan is. nor what Conway and co have in mind.

This is the bizarre thing. Last year we had Sollbauer, Mowatt, James (for a while), and Woodrow. Just having that senior group will have helped Andersen, Sibbick, Brittain, Styles, Palmer and probably even Helik. Khaled said that players’ values weren’t increasing, but I’d suggest if we’d said that Helik and Brittain were available for 3x what we paid for them, clubs would’ve queued up. Fans would’ve been up in arms and I’m not suggesting that’s what we should’ve done, but players value did go up.

The only player in any danger of increasing value this season is Iseka. Who is probably benefitting from having Woodrow and Morris at the club.

I suspect Hourihane will be available for loan again in January, and for less than Sheffield are paying now. But they won’t go for him

    Also dear Khaled.

You claimed that one of the main reasons for the closure of the west stand is that the perimeter wall partially collapsed last season and until a full inspection takes place you cannot guarantee the structural integrity of the rest of the wall. You specifically mentioned a risk of collapsing onto the turnstiles.

With that in mind can I ask why turnstiles 12-14 were open yesterday for access to the ponty end? These turnstiles are situated within the same perimeter wall just as the west stand ones are. You have already admitted you fear it is unsafe so why did you put supporters lives at risk yesterday?

I nearly went yesterday, but the West Stand farce got the better of me. I sit there mostly, unless I bump into ponty pals, & there’s a spare seat with them.
If it is deemed unsafe it should be closed to everyone, directors, staff, press. Everyone. A random journo given privileges denied to the supportive lifeblood of the club, is frankly scandalous. I’m not talking about myself, I am a self confessed part timer. But your Mam & step Dad’s experience is truly saddening, at a time of life when going to football should be an enjoyable pleasure.
If the West Stand’s days are numbered, let us know & have a definite plan, not contradictory assertions between club & council.
Patrick will be turning in his grave.. :(
