Surely that's why we employ a CEO, to field these questions on behalf of the board. Actually, in most companies, the CEO wouldn't be doing it either, they'd hire a press secretary or similar position. You might not like the answers to the questions we've asked, but no one can say we haven't had the opportunity to ask them. Within a week the CEO spoke with the press, supporters groups and individual supporters. Most questions were answered. There was a promise to investigate the ones that weren't.
Exactly. A CEO is paid (and paid well) to do this job. That’s the whole point of the role. Also, it’s a Ltd company - so within reason, we’ll never know the exact reasons behind what goes on. That’s just normal business. Folk can criticise the board - but they also need to acknowledge that compared to a lot of other football clubs, they do communicate quite a lot and hold these Q&As quite often.
Totally agree. Seems Conway. Is the sole owner of the club given the flak he endures from a lot of fans. Some warranted. but the majority should be directed at all the owners. And as you say. Via the CEO or press secretary. ( If there is one) But they need to consult the media section of the club. before they put statements out. Possibly avoiding a backlash.
Quick question. Isn't Chien Lee the majority share holder? In which case isn't it his job to answer these sort of questions?
The Hong Kong company is the majority shareholder. How the shares are split within that company nobody knows.
