    Australia comes first alphabetically:)

But Afghanistan beats them both, as does Argentina, Armenia, Angola.....

If Mads & Styles were fit enough for the bench, they were fit enough to start, even if he'd changed them after an hour.

Aye, there's many variables. I reckon we're probably paying the wages of all the lads we've sent to Esbjerg, but they won't be on much. Who knows really.

When did 'overseas' become common vernacular? It's Australian English. Makes sense there. Australia is an isolated country and it's long way over a lot of ocean to get anywhere else. Overseas in this instance almost certainly means Europe and there's every chance the successful managerial candidate won't fly or sail over any seas to get here, travelling instead over a lot of land and through a bit of a tunnel.

It seems anyone British will be ruled out of managing our club while ever the current owners remain in power. These owners now have a portfolio of clubs. All the others are, from our perspective, overseas. Are UK citizens ruled out of managing those clubs too? Is it being British that they find objectionable, or being from overseas that they find desirable? A good British manager won't get the Oakwell hotseat, but could they be employed at one of the other Pacific Media Group clubs where they will meet the offshore criteria? Or are they just bigots?

Aberdeen tops the lot , not a country but surely there must be an aspiring young coach in the Aberdeen junior Sunday league with a good winning percentage who fits the spread sheet , plus he or she will speak English in a fashion which is a vital asset !

How many British managers go and work abroad in Europe's better leagues? Hardly any. By appointing a European manager, they are appointing someone who, if they do well, will be approached by clubs all over the world and we'll pocket another 2 million euros.
I don't get all this "needs to be a British manager who knows the league".
There are barely any British managers in the Premier League, Eddie Howe, Graham Potter, David Moyes... are there any more? We have very few forward thinking young British coaches being given a chance anywhere, and the Championship seems to either shuffle the pack of old names around or brings in relative unknowns from abroad.

With Styles, I can see the argument and could agree but with Mads not so much so.
He’s just come back from a lengthy injury, won’t be upto full match fitness and we don’t the extent of how much a first full game took out of him in his return from injury.

I also think “trying something different” makes sense though. If we go for a known coach who’s worked this level - and lets face it most have been sacked at some point, then we’ll probably get relegated every time - it comes down to budget at that point. If you get an unknown newish coach there’s a chance they’ll be able to outperform the average, There’s a chance they’ll be pants of course, but if we go for the safe options given our budget we’ll be signing our relegation cards more often then not.

One of my all time favourite programs & the beauty is you can watch them over & over again & laugh at bits you missed before because they were lost in translation :)
