Last year we lost my football mad nephew Jamie aged just 16 when he tragically suffered a seizure. Since then, my brother-in-law has been fundraising for Cefovid, a Ugandan charity which aims to help children through football. They chose that charity as they are Coventry City fans and Cefovid has strong links to Coventry. He has held several raffles with signed shirts from various clubs, even an England Gazza signed shirt, and they have collected loads of football training gear which they have sent across to Uganda. I am posting here as their latest raffle is for a signed 2021/21 Barnsley FC shirt. £5 buys one ticket, £10 buys 3 tickets. I appreciate times are hard for some but if anyone can find some spare change to buy a ticket, who knows they may well have a fantastic Christmas present. https://www.gofundme.com/f/20212022...re-sheet&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter
Bump. More updates, they had a Cefovid fundraiser at the Coventry Music Museum today to help raise funds and a plaque was unveiled for their son's fundraising legacy.
Hi x11, it is my brother-in-law raising funds for them in memory of their son. They are Coventry City supporters and the Cefovid charity has links there, the man in Uganda (Ronald) is a Sky Blues supporter too. Here are links to the fundraiser held yesterday at the Coventry Music Museum https://www.wegottickets.com/event/527854# and their website http://cefovid.org/ Also a news article from earlier in the year https://www.ccfc.co.uk/news/2021/ju...r-sky-blues-fan-overseas-and-cefovid-charity/ It's up to you if you want to support it and I appreciate that everyone has to be careful, but it is genuine.
The draw for the signed shirt will be live on Jamie's Legacy Facebook page at 7:30pm tonight. https://www.facebook.com/groups/3595885563856876/
