No one on the train yesterday was going to challenge this mob. Guaranteed none of them had tickets. Police and Stewards were on site. Every single one of these lads was clearly under age. So, someone has sold them booze - probably several shops/ pubs. They had clearly run to get on the train - all of them out of breath when they got on. All congratulating each other and laughing. No regard for anyone else on the train or the platform. There’s no way as a parent I would be letting my 14/15 year old travel to an away game with a group like that. If I thought that either of my children behaved like that, anywhere, ever, they would be grounded for a long time. They just get away with it because they’re in a big group. This isn’t specific to Hull, it happens everywhere.
Think it was hull a few years back who came in town tried getting in corner pin and caused abit of bother.
It's not fair for the none football/drinking passengers. For that matter, it's hardly fair on some football fans too. They need to bring back dedicated trains for away fans. Would be quite easy from Hull to Barnsley too.
The idiots would probably cause damage on them. I loved the special trains back in the day; but the buffet was always closed, heating was either too hot or not on at all, and you always seemed to find yourself stationary just outside towns/cities on occasion for long periods. The latter occurred normally in the return journey. Having said all that, it was a great buzz on them, especially for a teenager.
This would be a better idea. Along with education on how to drink and how to behave in public, both of which are the job of the parents.
