The sound from the TV itself isn't that bad but I'd always have an external speaker, I've 7 TV's and non use the built in sound. If you can get a sound bar I'd look into it but it's up to you

We bought a Sony Bravia TV recently and my wife loves it. However, I'm not impressed at all. Most of the programs on it are hardly worth watching, except Police Interceptors of course. Wouldn't recommend it at all.

I have an existing speaker system which is plugged in to my current TV (Mind you, it is pretty old!)

I'm speaking to Richer Sounds to see if there's any wiggle room on price. They've offered £50 off which does make the price closer if I factor in the slim wall mount bracket included for free (versus £150 via Samsung). Ends up being £1249 versus £1124. Only difference then other than the price, is the warranty

However if was to buy the Soundbar at the discounted rate it pushes it up to around the £1500 mark. Definitely more than I'd originally wanted to spend

    Dilemma!

Haha yeh, you always set off with a budget and then it goes out of the window ;)

I want a new AV Receiver and subwoofer which will be about £2500 and another pair of Dolby Atmos rear speakers. I just tell my husband it'll be about 1k :)

Might be worth a look at the cash back apps aswell I usually use Quidco for home/car insurances/booking.com etc. You’ve got to read what the applicable rates are for different brands/products but there’s usually decent cash back rates on ao.com & curry’s. The cash back can take several months to be credited to the account though.

I’m looking for a new tv myself at the moment but will be looking at the deals closer to Xmas and the cash back on offer.
